Lots of jelous janes in this game. I don't think they bode well for the future.
They want stasis with constant driving out of people who do things they don't like. And thats it.
If one was to look at the AFL (Thats Australian Rules Football to you non Aussies), coaches have evolved the game and have come up with new game styles that have superseded tactics that used to be dominant.
i.e. the huddle, zoning, blocking, rotation of players, resting players forward, interchanges etc
Accuracy of kicking is more important than what it was 5 years ago,
Full forwards no longer stay in the goal square, mid fielders are becoming taller and have more endurance, sports science has also become involved.
Point im trying to make is that whilst I think it would be great if the
optimum strength of all offences were roughly equal, (and in my opinion work done in this area is needed), we have to also be careful that we dont stifle the "creative" juices of the innovative Managers who might otherwise train up players with specific skills sets that could take the game to another level and beat the tactics or skills sets that are dominant for a period of time
