I guess what I'm saying is that the current inflation situation has made me not want to overpay for players. And because I refuse to overpay for players I'm forced to focus on training.
And you think this is a good way to entice managers to stick around? You are already relegated with 2 weeks to go in the regular season, do you think we should all just tank and train? I'll tell you something that should be obvious to anyone. Those who had hefty bank accounts to begin with are the ones who are safe in this environment, because they can still afford the higher price and resell at similar prices. Catching up today to higher leagues has become increasingly hard in the current economic environment.

At this point just FA alone is not going to solve the problem, but the change implemented (almost erase FA) was the complete opposite of what was needed as people complained about before (and after) the change was implemented.

At this point a general review of the economy should be in the cards and should include reviewing (increasing) the salary of players (as suggested by Josef Ka) and reviewing the TV contract/salary floor values. And if Marin does not understand how potential changes will affect the game, I suggest he seeks advice from people who do (not me just to be clear).

Ok but it looked like you presented the situation as either "overpay" or "refuse to overpay and train" while not competing. Maybe I misunderstood, but I agree in general this is the current situation.

I have 5 trainees still have a young roster. I'm in the playoffs every season so far with my first team.

Heading on the right path so far. Are you?

If you make it into the playoffs with single digit wins, and many of those against bot teams, it's hard to claim to be a paragon of training and competing at the same time.

We didn't have many bot team back then... This year we had 3 now two. I just happen to have a bot vicotry in the playoffs against jesus crew which went bot last season and was still bot during playoff time. Hey you can't count me out because I win against noob teams or bot and still make the playoffs. I consider if I make the playoffs that is competing. You can check out my website to see my playoff history
