I'd say it's his use of +1 effort, the fact that his backups took a few more minutes than yours in an OT game, and your guys committed a lot more fouls. Given that the team ratings aren't that far off, it doesn't seem terribly surprising.

It's probably the HCA + the extra effort.

so here's a tough one:

(42818016)

How did I lose this one?
My opponent started with only 5 players so naturally you would assume, they get a little worse in the fourth quarter... well, they didn't.
After 29 Minutes he led by 2 points, when his C got injured. So I played an look inside offense with a 2 point deficit and had 19 minutes left to win the game. He played an SF on PF, so his inside-D cannot be any good, at least not against a 120k-C.
Not only I didn't win the game, but I lost by 25 points!!! he played the last 19 minutes with just 4 players and a lucky fan and during this timespan he outscored me 25:48.
So please tell me: how the **** is this possible? There isn't any explanation that at least makes a little sense...
Ok, he has home-court-advantage, but his motivation couldn't possibly be better than mine since I'm still participating in cup-games where I had some easy games, and I always told my players to TIE.
I also don't think it's realistic that a 30k SF pours in 71 points against a 120k-C, when playing on PF regardless of the type of offense he played.

I really appreciate your answers

Bad OD on your PF is the key of this game and his more effort helped too.

Apart from that, pretty weird game.

You had bunch of showmen on the court, money money money and this night was not show. Easy to me. Dracula can be best of one thing but it does not mean he can play basketball. Maybe sometimes, when all are dead.

yes, his OD isn't good, but nevertheless there is no way a 30k-SF lets 71 points rain on him.
My Team isn't a team of monooskillers, and at least they are really good scorers. But obviously not in this case.

But I'm kinda relieved you guys didn't came up with a fully satisfying explanation yet :)

But please, go on!

didn't see it recently, but be sure it would be welcomed. I think the scoring-percentages are too low. Maybe its that there are way more OD-Monsters than perimeter shooters out there, but right now its just inefficient to go on threes with only 30% scoring. For more you would need specialistst, which want to be paid.

His player scoring a lot in that scenario is to be expected. If he's shooting from outside, and the man guarding him has awful OD, you have to imagine that a large percentage of the outside shots are scored. In fact, while I can't view the PBP and won't take the time to watch the game on the viewer, I would guess that he probably shot better on shots from the outside where it said he was guarded by your player than on assisted shots.

Of course, that in itself isn't enough to lose a game - a guy putting up a big number with patient just means that the rest of the team isn't scoring. To actually lose the game, you'd need to have a major problem with turnovers and poor passing. Wait, you had 8 assists to 18 TO, while your opponent had 19:9? Gosh, your C/PFs alone had 8 TO.

I might also guess that his outside box and one meant his best outside defender was guarding your PG, which may explain why he put up a whopping zero assists all game.

(42320889) How'd I lose this one, I dominated the ratings for the most part. Is it because I didn't go with inside tactics, or because his 98k SG went off on me? Or the freethrows?
