yeah the ability to shoot depends on the defense, against a weak defender you get much "easier" looks.

But putting a Guard on C, won't let him stay at the perimeter during the attack to fool the 2.21 guy with atrocious OD even when he would take more jumpers then a "normal" C who didn't shot that well.

indeed... but if you're playing run and gun your guard would be out at the perimeter more because it would be a big advantage. at least thats what i understand from what i have been told. I will say i dont have a huge amount of data to actually back this up. It would be interesting to find someone with an awesome outside center and see if he has any data of this sort.

From what I've seen around different leagues and different levels of PGs, it doesn't matter if the guy can't shoot he'll still take a ridiculous amount of shots and shoot <30%. Don't think its possible to create a solely playmaking PG like Rondo in this game.

You forget that Rondo plays in NBA,where you can say that he has a bad shot relatively to the level of the adversaries outside defenders, not relatively to all the basketball world

A PG like rondo would have 12 on Js and 8 on JR(bad shooting skills againt 15 Od defender) but a good Is and high Od,driving and passing

I think you're pushing it with JS 12. But even such players as you describe with the added bonus of high experience have awful shooting percentages, even if they have 14+ passing. You'd think such players would only pass if you play them as PGs. But no...

It would be nice if there was some tactic that focused on the PGs playmaking skills.
