For the start of next year i was thinking about traing inside shot for my gaurds, however is thst a good idea? Should i wait till their primary stats are built up before doing it or does it make since to make them all around players? The reason i was thinking of doing this is because my gaurds are missing several layups despite having superior driving skills.

I'm planning to do the same next season. My guards have high driving skill, but miss a lot of layups.

I will train Jump shot for SF/PF whenever possible. That way, my guards can get the training in JS and IS.

High inside shot is pretty awesome for a guard if he has a high driving and handling skill to support it. I have a guard on my team with a 10 in IS and you can see the difference in the matchviewer, many of his 2 point-attempts are high %age layups, dunks and ocassionaly even putbacks (offensive rebound + dunk).

I would expect such a player to draw many fouls, but unfortunately that is absolutely not the case.

I saw you're playing some outside and some inside tactic. Did your guard score better with Look inside, since he has a high IS?

That is a very good question, I have never looked at his stats from this point of view - I played only a few inside offenses this season and in those games he was clearly underperforming in scoring compared to the outside offenses - but I dont think that would say a lot beacause 1) he is a good enough passer, 2) I have really good big men for my league, so they would be the primary scoring option anyway.
