There are conference regular season games and a conference tournament, but the NCAA seedings are independent of conference.

The seeding is by committee...although they use some called the RPI too do a lot of the work: http://www.realtimerpi.com/rpi_Men.html

I'd say a special player to watch is Jared Sullinger he is only a freshman and is great. A game to watch is probably Connecticut at San Diego State.

Yeah...State is a good team, but need to prove they are a contender by beating somebody like UConn.

The Big East got 11 teams in the tournament, but only two remain. Not exactly a great argument for being the #1 conference. (Mountain West still has SD State & BYU).

I had the Big East going far which completely screwed up my bracket. For example St. Johns in the Elite 8. Nearly all my Elite eight teams are out new record. :)

I saw St. John's play a couple of time...and despite having a pretty good RPI, they aren't that good a team. Certainly not an Elite 8 team...IMHO.

St. Johns is going to have a great recruiting class next year. #2 in the country.
