I've been looking to get rid of iwen for a looooong, long time. This election could be just what we need - if we elect him, he's almost certain to disappear.

Vote 1 iwen!

This isn't a spam thread guys. This is for debates to go on between the candidates or questions to be asked of those running for elections. Let's keep it that way.

We need to forget about secondaries and solely pump their primaries like they're on drugs!!

Australia needs some of those monster players!

How will anyone achieve that when there are about two teams in Australia training big men?

Iwen - how will you make sure there are some good big men for the future?

Well it's a two way approach to training bigs.

Pump those secondaries in the first season then go for the primaries. Makes for great PFs and rounded centers.

Or

Pump primaries and only worry about secondaries later on. Means we end up with unsustainable monsters but stand a fighting chance against the big teams in Asia.

It really depends on the talent available. Just seeing some of the rookies drafted so far, I can see that they'll become ace Power Fowards, but I'm still looking for those potential monster centers inside, cause whether we like it or not, we need monsters with 3 x prodigious and 4 x atrocious to combat the Philippines and China.

So I'll be looking for a mixture of both. So far I've only seen Power Forwards, but I'm advising them differently, one will take the primary approach first, the others will go for the secondary route. Should give us a bit of versatility going forward.

Plus, I'm looking to pick up a power forward as well this season to train secondaries first to align with my training of McArthur and Ton. =)

Again, keep the topic to the actual election and the candidates. The last 2 posts have been about actual players and this is not the right place for it so they've been deleted.

We're here to find our next U21 team manager, you can discuss particular players elsewhere. I'm generally pretty lenient with what goes on around here but keep this stuff on topic please.

a few more questions to anyone up for the job.

1, china and the phil's seem to be the major threats to us each season , how will you better prepare the team for these match ups ?

2, what skills / type of players will you value more while your in the job ? will this influence your choice of players even if there is a player better suited to the position ? ie a 10 is 16 id player chosen over a 13 is 14 id player.

3, does player exp levels factor into your choices , also will the players potential come in to play ? will you be aiming more to win while your in office or better setting us up for the long term (mentoring players / bringing in players that have national team potential ? )

4, recently the manager of a well known aussie under 21 player has apparently asked to have his player removed from our team as he feels we do not train properly or something like that, what is your views on this ? and will you still play him ?
