he had some good secondary skills too, driving and the rest were in pretty good shape. listed as a center, but he'd be really solid at power forward, which there aren't many of.

his experience was average as well...

bottom line is if thats what it takes to compete at the business level of the Bundesliga then he has to make the call....

cant help feeling he was a tad overpriced but compared to the trade of 2 mediocre players between 2 NBBA teams at 2.5mil he looked like a bargain.. (did that just get quietly swept under the carpet in the end?) They were grossly overvalued even in todays climate... nice to see that it didnt start a trend.

Anyhow - most top division teams/ more established teams do need to shell out 1mil plus now if they actually want to improve one of their starting 5.

I personally wouldnt want to have 3mil tied up in one asset at the moment - especially as injuries can savagely eat into growth/resale value.

I have gradually spent more and more on better quality players (and should now probably stop!) and switch back to seats - seats cant get injured!!

also.. sure its been suggested.. can we have a top X transfers of the week... i often bid on players early so i can see what sort of prices they fetch...

with the market now churning out a select amount of players that are head and shoulders above the others it would be nice to see what money they change hands for so we can all start to gain better understandings of valuations..

also - good to see at a glance who is spending the $$$$

mediocre players? That's really exaggerated. I just bought a very similar impact player to Strauss (one of the 2.5mil players), and he cost 1.7mil. And that's almost a half season later.

The other 2.5mil player, Anderson, would have been, with continued training, on the same level as Pera is now.
