I guess he's talking about TIE during the rest of the regular season and Playoff Normal during the playoffs.

I also think LI should only be one option. With offensively limited post players, I'd rather consider outside or balanced tactics.

Jesus. He asked for tips in the PLAYOFFS. Hence, I said play Normal, as in Playoffs Normal until the fnals.

It doesn't matter if he's predictable or not, no one can stop it. The teams in his conference especially are terrible and probably don't even have active managers.

He's likely going to be playing a team that's extremely outside focused with next to no inside game. 3-2 zone is the way to go. He already proved it when he beat them last game.

He should definitely play LI since it is pretty clearly his most effective offense.

Also, train passing. Seriously. You have some great guard, and especially point guard prospects, no reason for your flow to be so poor.

I'd recommend training passing until the end of the season.

No need to get aggressive. He may be asking about playoffs but you were clearly talking about the regular season when you are talking about "until the finals". There is no "Playoff normal" until the finals. Playoff normal is only available DURING the finals.

If you are talking about until the finals, surely you mean TIE.

I admit I didn't scout his team so I'll take your word regarding tatics. Again, it depends on matchups. Whats to say his opponents don't buy super players a week before the finals...

If you get Deathmaple in the finals I would also advise going with a 3-2, other tactics depend on matchups. Really need to build enthusiasm in all your other matches in preperation for the finals. For roster suggestions I'd have to know what you have for finances. And you should promote with a 21-1 record:)

I was wondering how that was going to turn out. Good stuff! You'll definitely want to bank enthusiasm pretty much straight through the finals, since nobody on your side of the league should be able to give you any challenge.

I would definitely consider lowering your price on courtside seats at least a little. Our arenas are pretty eerily similar (though I'm in construction again), except I've got a lot more courtside and I overpriced those a bit too much also. I can say that at $105, I've been mostly around 110-130 this season, and given our similar league positions and team ages, I figure that should be the same. Maybe if you go to $110 or so, that'll get you around that magic 99% full number.

I can't really suggest anything as far as teambuilding goes. My league is such that I really don't need to invest anything in players yet to promote, so I'm just chucking money into my arena almost every couple of weeks. I still don't think I'll get near that 10k figure mentioned earlier in the thread, and I'll probably be hurting my first season in IV, but if your goal in this game is to promote up to higher leagues in the long term, investing money into the club's foundation is likely better than buying players who won't be useful when you get to the higher leagues. Granted, a balanced approach is probably best, especially if you didn't walk into a league with a welcome mat for promotion.

Your main rival is selling 3 out of his 8 players. Watch out. It's a bit too early to give you tips. Teams may still improve until the POs start.

It's is shocking to me that a top league player isn't aware of the playoffs rules. Then again it is Australia.

For particularly important games, including league playoff games, relegation games, and the late rounds of the national tournament, your players will be too excited to "take it easy". In these games, the only options available are Playoff Normal, in which your team receives the enthusiasm effects of a regular Take It Easy but the effort level of a regular Normal, and Playoff Crunch Time, in which your team receives the enthusiasm effects of a regular Normal but the effort level of a regular Crunch Time.

From the Game Manual.

Monkey, he's talking about the playoff finals, not the entire playoffs. The first two playoff rounds are not the finals yet.
