Might I be so bold as to request that you send me a BB-mail telling me Taylor Stearns' starting skills? I promise I don't want the info for tactical reasons, but he was my #1 draft prospect on my board, and you sniped him before I could pick him. He looks really good and I'm just curious what I'm missing out on.
And you may have a good shot at the league crown, probably better than mine considering I still don't have a PG and allowed my competitive spirit to get me into a bidding frenzy over a pretty mediocre prospect Zhang Ziguo. I allowed myself to be blinded by his height and potential and overlooked his starting skills as I competed in a bidding war with another manager. Now I wasted much of my spare cash and have serious buyer's remorse and still no PG. Not that y'all should care about my stupidity, but it helps explain why my team is so obviously lacking at arguably the most important position. But even despite that, before you start getting too confident, there's this guy on my team named Enrico Tremolada. Anyone remember his stats from last season? I'll save you the trouble of checking:
21 PPG on 56.9% shooting from the field, made 81.6% of his FTs, 4.0 offensive rebounds, 16.5 total rebounds (led the league), 5.7 assists (as I said I have no PG, so that inflates it a bit, but those are hugely impressive for a big man), and 21.0 PPG. 31 out of 32 first place MVP votes last season. And he's only getting better.
But he's not the guy you should be watching. Chinese power forward Ming Chongkai is one of the best young prospects I've seen. He was originally drafted as a shooting guard at 7'0"! Great secondaries for such a big player with the exception of handling. And with his height, his inside skills are rapidly improving. Expect great things from him this year.
With young talent such as Sonney Lindsey and Zhang Ziguo backing them up, this team is stacked inside. If I ever get a true point guard, it could be a very good season for the Lakers.
Btw, no offense gocavs, but I think the team to watch is kbdemons, and I'm not saying that just because they ended my playoff run last year in the first round. Look at their team ratings and compare them to any other team in this league.
