The biggest reason for you losing that I could think of is that your team made 0 3pointers while your opponents team made 6. That's 18 point difference already.
His team also had twice your free throws , and made twice as much free throws compared to you.
It's just a single game, hard to tell what really went wrong, but I guess your take it easy played a big role.
I thought I had effectively countered the princeton tactics with 1-3-1 formation but obviously it wasn't the case. So the question is: are the 3-pointers considered in the outside scoring ratings or is it a function of the tactics chosen and the player's jump shot skill levels? Are 3-pointers countered with better perimeter defense or shot blocking?
I have also noticed that my opponent benefited with a higher number free throws. Is there a way to reduce that?
