I have a couple of newbie questions about the draft--

the guide states that even if you put no money into scouting, you still get 14 free pieces of information. I don't know what that is supposed to mean. How is that done?

Also, it mentiones that the draft is a lottery, but doesn't explain how it works. Does it resemble the NBA lottery or is it something totally different?

OK, thanks. I kinda thought it might be something like that. Is it also no longer a lottery then?

It was never a lottery. Your draft position is based the overall standings of your league if all 16 teams are grouped together. 16th best record gets 1st pick, 15th gets 2nd pick and so on.
