I'm not saying they're not, but they work at entirely different levels. Allowing you to customize your team's jersey, and then having it hanging somewhere in the game viewer shouldn't be too hard to introduce. And little can go wrong, if you don't care you can just leave it blank. Introducing sponsors as extra income would shake up the economic structure of the game. I'm not sure how you could make that work
