I really dont know what point you are trying to make with your posts. Fact is, that we have hundreds of thousands players in this game that are junk data, part of those are rookies that get dumped right away because training them makes no sense.

i want to point out, that your initial statement makes no sense.

Now you can argue that a 15k player is a beast in a low league, but does it hurt if there is still some room left to improve him? Why would I train sixth man potential players if I can pick up Allstars from the market for a handful of money anyway?

If the potential don't offer boundarys we could go back to the pre potential days. Since with this logic you can screw every lower limit, and you will do it, since the low potential players are unintressant for a lot teams, since there are so many better ones out there. The quality of training who get used, depends of the existing material. If you like to have every trainee usefull, they all had look the same ;) but the amount of trash wouldn't change then.

The amount of trash would not change, but the amount of intentionally created trash would decline!

As I said, every player should get the chance to be developed to a degree that he will be able to play in every league - good luck with you sixth men trying to do that...

no, not when you suggest that every draft player would look the same ;)

Or you focus now on the third draft round, i didn't concentrate on.(in this case even the quality of trainee would decline, which makes starter more desirable)

the junk players have a purpose though.

eg: last season, i needed to manage game shape of my starters and bench during the finals. so i bought two guys who had a salary of like, $2k or something, both with really terrible potential... bench warmer, or something like that. these guys i played in the scrimmage, which id already previously booked.

so my point being, is that these low potential players become the scrubs that we buy for $1000 and then sell a few weeks later.
AND, i have a guy with Starter potential who was an excellent backup PF last seaon in Div III and probably could have started as well with some success.
So im not on you with this one sorry.
