Bot Promotion Watch

We found out that the tie breakers for this are conference winner, then best record. So to win the bot promotion you will need to not win the title, win your conference and have the best record of those that do.

Shikoku Otaku 19/0 +1157
Okayama Chon 18/1 +1129
Sashiogi Heaven 18/1 +255
Baikinman 17/2 +1104
aisteru.4ever 17/2 +1096
NKRK 17/2 +982

So if things go as expected this season and Otaku, Chon and Heaven win their league championshios the race will be between whichever of Baikinman or aisteru.4ever have the best regular season record. The wildcard would be if NKRK beat Otaku in the playoffs and then took the championship, or if one of Baikinman or aisteru.4ever could win the finals then Otaku would get the bot promotion.

Some BIZARRE acquisitions by I Am Legend - buying 2x $80+ k guys, and he's 5th with no shot of making the playoffs.
Weird purchases...

Or more likely incompetence. I remember last season or the season before someone in 7th or 8th in 2/1 buying up and spending a fortune because they were worried about relegation. Don't forget buying players now isn't so bad if you are 5th because you don't pay their salaries for 2 weeks. However prices would be much lower next week than now which is one of the 2 most expensive weeks to buy.

I am a 4th placed team! But I have my eyes wide open. However I think I need to wait another season because I will still be training my 2 young guys and can't really compete when I have to throw 1 game a week. Still I have seen some great local players recently.

Relegation Watch

In the end this worked out very well. Mythical Man-Month and Sharman Gamethrowers both ended up where they wanted to be in 8th. Stunners took 6th in the big 8 so will wipe the floor with the bot Kotets. Elandstraat 263 were lucky to see the Miyazaki Freeters go bot and be replaced by the bot LANSEN. They survive.

So the relegators for season 19 will be:

Big 8
Mythical Man-Month (8th)
LANSEN (Bot but will be eliminated normally)

Great 8
Sharman Gamethrowers (8th)
Kotets (Bot but will be eliminated normally)

Bot Promotion Watch

Well the last regular season game has been played. There will be a bot promotion this season (due to no teams in 2/4) so the team with the best record gets a free ride to the JBBL.

We found out that the tie breakers for this are conference winner, then best record. So to win the bot promotion you will need to not win the title, win your conference and have the best record of those that do.

Shikoku Otaku 22/0 +1350
Okayama Chon 21/1 +1318
Sashiogi Heaven 21/1 +311
aisteru.4ever 20/2 +1261
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Baikinman 19/3 +1215
NKRK 19/3 +1091
Umi says 18/4 +534
It says something about 2/2 and 2/3 that a bot won the Big 8 in both divisiions.
So Shikoku Otaku are certain to make it to the JBBL next season, however I think they will fight and want the trophy so the bot promotion will probably pass down. You would think that Okayama Chon and Sashiogi Heaven could win against mostly bots but if they don't then the bot promotion is theirs. Assuming they do win the bot promotion will stop at aisteru.4ever because both he and Shikoku Otaku can't win the JBBL.
I wonder if Baikinman regrets this match?
Baikinman vs. aisteru.4ever 83 - 101 (43152292)
aisteru.4ever looked like the only team trying out there.
That match was the one that determined the bot promotion UNLESS Baikinman can achieve the impressive feat of making the 2/1 finals and beating Shikoku Otaku.
Unless something odd happens the 4 new JBBL teams will be:
Shikoku Otaku
Okayama Chon
Sashiogi Heaven
aisteru.4ever
I just hope we get Okayama Chon and Sashiogi Heaven in the Big 8 or the Big 8 could be very difficult next season.
