It's true, NT players can't be fired directly. That's been coded that way for a reason.
As for the TL thing, I can't test your case since your player's auction is ending in two days, so there's no way I can reach it with a generic search limited to a 1000 players, but I doubt you're singled out, as was pointed out already.
