I agree with the people who are saying to get a new trainer, but I understand you don't have money right now. Do it asap. Whether you choose to go with an advanced one or not that is up to you.
Here are some other things I would suggest:
Fire that doctor! You don't have to hire a new one, another minimal will just show up with 2k salary, saving you 4,500 a week.
Not really sure that training a man with 6th man potential is that profitable, I find that there are 18 year olds with 3k salaries with star potential for under 10k.
Your arena needs work desperately. Did you know you have been selling out your bleacher seats and your luxury boxes for at least the past 2 months? I know expanding immediately would pose a problem since you have no money, but make sure to bump your bleacher seat price up a dollar and your luxury at least $50.
Your payroll is one of the highest in the Big 8, you could definitely afford to sell one or two of your players, I know you will probably be opposed to this next suggestion, of recommending that it be Jeffrey Kelly, since you drafted him yourself. He however will get you the best sum of money. He is 23 so people could still few him as trainable and will pay higher than his actual skills deserve.
I know you are in the Cup so some of your players are overworked sometimes, especially when you get tough cup draws, but most of you players have mediocre game shape and the season has barely begun. Keeping your player's game shape between respectable - proficient will improve you team tremendously.
I hate to say this but with no money and a small arena, you are not ready to promote this year. So try to save all the money possible this year while building your arena, and perhaps next year you will be able to make a run at the championship.
This doesn't mean you need to relegate, in fact I think you can make the playoffs, even if you do sell Kelly. The biggest thing here is that your small arena has probably been holding you back from making more money for a long time.
