I would train Marlow in outside skills only this season, this will give him better build efficiency and maximize his value to you going forward. It's easier for you to train him out of position now than it will ever be in the future and this will make him cost you less in salary next season.

If you haven't already got an advanced trainer, don't. I think basic is probably best for you, and both atrocious and competent are better than advanced. They cost too much money and won't improve your players much faster.

I would increase your lower tier and courtside prices by a small amount.

As soon as next season hits start scouring the TL for players age 29-32 in the 6-12k salary range with high secondary skills.

if he's not to get an advanced trainer, might as well just tell him to sell.

That's ridiculous. I've made plenty of money off training players and I've never carried better than basic. The difference is 5-10% max and it would cost three times as much as his most expensive player.

I disagree with you completely. Just because he doesn't have an advance trainer doesn't mean he won't get tons of pops with a basic trainer. Plus since he is in a lower league and newish to the game, a basic trainer is fine and will get the job done for now. It's not like he has an 18 year old All Time Great rookie that needs a really good trainer. He just needs a trainer that can get his dude some better skills so he can use him in an IV. league as a starter in my opinion.

I think you fail to realize just how much more expensive and how little it would benefit him by having an advanced trainer over a basic trainer. I got to D.III because i didn't over pay for a trainer and trained up about 4 rookies that got me about 800k WITH A BASIC TRAINER and that was enough to jump me from D.V to D.III in two seasons.

i'll just take your sig and say that it covers what i think on this. The OP can go read it and read the responses and get a good idea as to what they want to do. Market analysis will show him why he should never just take talent development halfway.
