DMI has proven to be a very reliable tool for me, indicating the level of the team I'm facing, although I think a deep team is better, even with a slgihtly lower DMI avrage.

One word, GAMESHAPE.. Gameshape effects the DMI, I believe from Respectable -> Proficient it doubles it or so?

Exactly.. Hence why GS is more important than DMI IMO, Gameshape is an actual indicator on how good your player will play, DMI is just skills and GS is how ready they are, how in shape basically lol

And by my experiences i could say it'S not related with the training.
It most certainly is related. See the new trainees? DMI=0. Don't train them? DMI=0 Train them? DMI > 0.

DMI for a rookie actually changes when they play a game, not when trained as far as I am aware.
