You don't think having 14, OD, PA, and Hand is low for D.II? Considering everything else is under 5, save for 7 DR and 14 SB? That is low. IF he were making a Freak?, I would assume those should be 16+. That would be a Freak. Maybe my standards are too high, but I wouldn't give that player a second look in my division.

I don't have anyone above 14 OD (though I do have four at 14) or above 14 HA (two at it), and nobody close to 14 PA. In fact, I've only got two skills total on my team over 14 in any skill - both in JS. But I'm among the best defenses and least turnover-prone teams in the toughest conference in the toughest III series in the USA. The player he's talking about wouldn't play for me because of the JS/JR, but I could certainly see him being a serviceable guard for a LI team.

It's not really that low but not at all freakish either other than the SB.

Of course his potential is low and it sounds like you're trying to keep his salary low as well.
If you don't want to pump more salary in him through passing and OD before he caps I'd go with ID (like someone mentioned) or IS rather than the SB. Then again, he was cheap, will finish training pretty quickly and is your guy so go for it and have fun.

One of my trainee guards has Strong shot blocking already, and when I saw your post I was like "LETS DO THIS!!" I'll try finish OD and PA this season, and move on to shot blocking just at the start of the season.

thats the right attitude bro :)

maybe some user missread my post..its not that that i wanna build a skill 20 dude..its more the compination of skills

for example i would love to see a user that build a dirk nowitzki clone ( a pf with freakish range - maybe 16+ / high driving / no inside shot/ under average rebound etc pp ) or a marc jackson type of point guard ( a back to basket guard ) or something new

the market is full with twins..its boring :p

I wholeheartedly agree, just maybe the deficiencies that the player has in a traditional sense, allows for those unusually high skills in non traditional areas to be a massive advantage. Spread out around the court, who knows, would be hard for teams to scout.

Its more like clones, but you are right.

I am building a shot blocking squad right now and I love it. xD

Judging by free throws, there is a big difference between 1 and 2. I would push his jump shot by 1.

I like him.
Defensive minded PF/C type that has good passing for a big and could produce a bit via jumpshots in an outside offense.

I think if more of these "whacky" builds existed then we would have less LI domination complaints with or without the GE change.
