Well of course it has an impact but you should be able to breeze to the championship and you have plenty of time to get all your players to strong-proficient game shape so I wouldn't recommend wasting a week of training on it. You are the manager of your own team though so do what you think is best.

Gameshape training is also good to use when your minutes get outta hand from league/cup matches!

While I agree that there are cases where training game shape in the playoffs is beneficial to promote, we're not in the playoffs yet and his team has excellent game shape. So in this particular instance I don't see any benefit whatsoever.

Which should never happen if you plan ahead.

I think it can happen anyway, especially with teams that can't afford to have enough depth that's needed when you are trying to win three games in a week.

I have tried to juggle starters and play one or two backups each game, but sometimes that can cost a game. Sometimes you just need to play them all three games to win them.

All these seasons I've never needed to try and win all 3 games in 1 week by playing my starters. Sometimes you can spread your roster over all 3 games and sometimes you just have to plan on losing 1 of those games. The long term effects of ruining gameshape for1 extra win are never worth it and training gameshape doesnt save a player who just played 110+ minutes.

As I said before, that's bad planning if you even try although I do see teams foolishly trying more than I should.

Actually i did answer his question by stating " I've never seen someone state an approximate impact for it."

I just extended on my answer and gave him my personal views on gameshape training so he would get a better understanding on gameshape and hopefully learn something new.

I tend to do this every season for the last 2-3 rounds of the Cup. While it's not ideal, training gameshape keeps all my guys at "respectable" or above, even with a few going over 110-120 minutes. Affects me less because I usually don't have trainees, but there's certainly a time and place to train GS, though I'd say it's more for maintenance than to help boost.
