For a blank lineup, just don't put any players in. When you set your lineup, leave the slots blank.

Should look like this: http://www.weebly.com/uploads/1/6/0/7/16072388/5159100_or...

Edit: You also have to select Let Coach Decide.

But remember to select "Let Coach Decide". You can't tell your coach to use "Strictly Follow Depth Chart" and then not have any players there to use.

And also, if the other team forfeits, you get 0 training minutes.

If you remember me, then I don't care if everyone else forgets.

IF you have 4 "equally" good guards you just may get about equal minutes IF you:
* select up to 9 players
* leave PG and SG blank (your 4 guards will hopefully play these positions)
* set your SF to starter/backup/reserv (so your guards don't get a few minutes at SF. This is important.)
* have 2-4 Insideplayers (PF/C) that have poor enought outsideskills so they don't get minutes at guardpositions(or set 1 player as starter/backup/reserv for PF and 1 for C.
* PF and C can be blank or filled (If blank your bigguys 'should' play these positions)
* Set "Let Coach Decide"

I have not tried this, since I don't have the players to to this.
The score needs to be decently close, no blowouts.

You atleast get a little feel on how the coach "ranks" your guards. The best ones will get the most minutes.
I recommend teams to use Blank Lineup in private or scrimmages from time to time if you feel insecure about your tactics.
It's not a "fact" but it gives you a few hints on how the game works.

I like this idea a lot although I would not expect coaches to follow this precisely. If I tell the coach to play a guy for 36 minutes then I might get 30-42 depending upon the pace of the game

The one thing that always drives me nuts is how backups are placed into games.

Lets say I have a team with these players.

PG 40K salary
SG 70k salary

Backup PG/SG 25k salary

I would love to find a good method to have my starting PG and SG both play roughly 36-40 minutes and the backup to them both play 16-24 minutes but this never happens.

I usually get the PG playing 34 minutes and the SG playing like 45-48 minutes and then sucking at the end of the game because he is tired.

Agreed. Which is why I would like a "GO TIME" lineup, with a lineup set within the last 5 minutes of the match--match given is at least between 15 points close (i've heard a few comebacks from 15 in the 4th Quarter, happens lots of times in BB) You could have your lineup, your Defensive Leader, Offensive Leader, etc.

I'm just throwing this out there, even though it's more then likely a no, because i do see that the bad thing about it is what if you mess up training minutes, or what happens when a player is injured. What happens when a player fouls out etc.
