I have noticed with my players that, on average, a players strengths will not drop as fast as areas that they are already weaker in and/or their non primary skills. In other words, I don't think it works like the elastic effect. Your players strong suits will be more resilient to age and their weaker areas more vulnerable.

Hmm. I've noticed the exact opposite to be true for me in the past, it led me to believe that the reverse elastic effect does exist.

Yea, honestly, I have only seen a very small sample of aging players (maybe around 10-15), so anything I'm noticing is just as likely to be random than an actual trend. I still do get the sense that if any older player has proven resilient in their strongest skill, it is likely to stay that way. Obviously, given enough time, basically every skill will get hit.
