1) Who do you feel is the best USA player in the world right now?

2) If you could pick up any active USA player for free for your club team who would it be?

Group hug!

Ohhhhhhhhhh this looked fun so I thought I'd chime in:

Hard to measure "Best" as the question, "best for what?" comes up. I came down to this:

Best:
PG: Walter
SG: Reedy
SF: Hunt
PF: Bowens
C: Simmons

Then I think it is a lot harder to pick and choose. I think personally narrowing it down to three I would get to:

Reedy, Hunt, Bowens

And ultimately I just really like Otto Reedy. Hard to justify why, as I don't want to dish out skillsets and such, but I'm just liking the way that he looks offensively (especially) and defensively. Not to mention he single handedly beat Finland last season at Worlds.

As for the player I would want to pick up, I would either pick up Truman Robertson or Devin Farnsworth (Both younger players). They are both worth probably around 2.5-3m at least and to get them for free would be pretty dandy. They are both beast SFs that I feel like could/will be NT players in the future but their salaries are low enough at the moment that my team could sustain having them and I could help their final molds to make them NT probables. Devin is 23 and Robertson is 25.

What do you consider soon? Within the next 2-3 seasons probably not. I could see it happening at some point within the next 10 seasons, but it is so hard for anyone to win B3 when there are constantly 4-5 teams every single year that pile up monsters with 250k-300k salaries to have their one run at the B3 title. Venomous Scorpions are an example of this. They won in season 16 and then again in season 24 simply because they had one of the highest team salaries in all of BB and kept their players in good GS. Obviously times have changed a bit, and we are seeing a lot more consistently good team around the world who have lower team salaries that don't absolutely blow up their team after the season (Młoty Stargard is an amazing example of this). Personally I think teams in the NBBA are more focused on helping out the USA NT and winning the NBBA while being financially stable than they are about trying to beat out monster teams in B3. We did have one USA team (King Drive Ballers) make it to the semifinals of the B3 during season 25 so it is definitely possible to make a good run at the title, but it is very rare. I don't see it happening very soon, but who knows.

Never say never but the hypercompetitiveness of the NBBA hurts our chances. Venomous scorpions in the Iranian league didnt have to deal with what nbba teams g ave to deal with during the season.
