The only way to inflate the economy is to earn more each week than you spend. buying/selling can only remove money from the game. This is an undeniable fact. If you believe inflation is a problem, then you should understand daytrading is working against the problem. Daytraders can't squeeze blood from a turnip.
The daytraders customer is a newbie who blindly buys his first few players - the majority of those teams quit in the first few weeks - so they put money in the market and withdraw players that won't enter the market again.
How that can be seen as a deflationary effect is beyond my understanding.
