i know there are better BOTs and worst BOTS, but this one is an illegal BOT, as yourself and Marin said before ...

Why is it an "illegal" bot and where did I or Marin said it was ?? What even "illegal bot" means ?

I think it means we need to ban the bot.

Although it's not necessarily pertinent to the bugs forum, since the discussion is ongoing I will point out that I'd consider it something that's more problematic for teams in lower levels for regular league play than the Cup. If you draw a strong bot or a weak bot in the Cup, that's one thing - a random draw is a random draw. But if a team in a low level had a bunch of players too strong to be released but stronger than a new team has, that could make the experience for new users placed in that division unpleasant. And if it's a league level that doesn't demote, a workaround based on demotion might not be good.

I'd almost think it would be best to have the entire roster replaced when the team goes bot - the players who are eligible for FA become FAs and the ones who don't are retired, and then a new roster of crappy players assigned (with any default lineups cleared as well). That does lead to some fairness issues where an inactive team may still be playing a strong lineup against some teams in the league and then give other teams easy wins, but that may be a small enough price to pay.

And that the exact point of Marin's interogation and part of the solutions he is wondering about.

Exactly. The more I think about it, the more I am certain that changes to such high salary bot rosters should only be done at the end of the season.

Good morning dear GMs,

I also have question about one of my league bot-opponent (26302). The team salarie is now the fith highest of the whole league, but luckily the 2 top-men are injured. So the missmatches weren´t that bad. (The bot used to have the highest salary costs at the begin of the season)

My question is more an economical one:

How can the bot keep a 106k roster, while his arena is reset to 5k seats with minimal prizes, still with the come-down negativ momentum (visitors), loosing most of his games?

Atm he should loose money and should be overindebted. Usually a human manager has to sell his player at this point, while the BOT is keeping the high-income-players.

My questions now: Is this wanted, to compensate the weaknesses of a BOT? Do the financial/fan - mechanics do not effect the BOTs?

This passed manager had some nice league player, which ones could be interessisting for the TL, so other active manager could use/develop them for their team. (me for example :-D )

Don´t you think it is a waste to keep them out of the market, playing for an insolvent BOT in the IV.?

If it´s your aim, to get BOTs more competetiv (I would like it :), then this would explain a lot and my questions would be irrelevant.

Best Regards
Bommy

As for the story of their finances, the simple answer is "they have no finances, so no bankruptcy possible".

I really think they have finances - only thing is they can't go bankrupt.

AVERAGE staff salaries in my league are 66k and if I remember correctly last season even were above 100k at one point. 50% bots in my league though.
