What about if players gain experience at an accelerated rate the longer they stay with one team? To simulate learning one system and philosophy instead of bouncing from coach to coach. Not sure how big of an influence experience has, could be overpowered or borderline trivial, but it's something. Or draftees training a fraction faster with the team that drafted them, same concept. They already know the system so they can focus on their own skills.

I dont think that there should be anything changed in the market as it should fix itself depending on the supply/demand of available skilled players. If the players are so expensive, then there is an incentive for owners to pick young guys, train them, sell them and invest the money. And contrary, if some owners can afford expensive players, so be it. Both parties have something to win or lose.
The game already benefits the training teams. Now that we have a more flexible option to train skills (although at decreased percentage) without having to move the players to weak positions, it's so easy to train the expensive multi-skilled players. We also have the overextension tax, which can be avoided if you developed your own players.
And finally, some seasons ago it was clearly visable and easy to predict that at some point there will not be enough skilled players because teams did not train. Those who trained benefited, while the others stepped down because they couldnt afford replacing old guys with new ones. IMO this game should award those who think long-term and so far it's doing well.
To some it up, in my opinion we need to wait for several more seasons and wait for the results before we implement other changes.

Hey Trainerman, I just found a 46k hall of famer lastnight super cheap right? I ofcourse bid on him knowing what my other hall of famer said that could be sold for like in the 500k or something similar to that. I was thinking last night and that guy who is selling is getting ripped off. I'm getting the steal of the century it seems!

Nobody is getting ripped off in the market right now, unless you are hit by a server hiccup and get no bids due to that.

Offseason prices are a bit lower, potential alone does not say anything about the player.
