It makes no sense that your FT would go down in any week that you don't train JS, etc. However, it does seem to make sense to link FT training as a secondary boost when training JS, and as such, that skill should decline when JS declines.

So you could go 2 years without ever practicing a FT and still be just as good or better than 2 years ago?
Must be nice to be you.

"Makes no sense"
It makes sense. It's just not ideal.

My point with my comment besides stating the obvious, was there has to be a balance.

Can't you say the same for all skills? You could also go 2 years without ever practicing handling or jump shot or any other skill and as long as the player isn't too old in this game, the skill is pretty much just as good.

agreed. for the most part.

handling/driving position dependent on if its something they do frequently, same with Defenses/SB.

we all know the training system isn't perfect in BB. But, why try to make it work for FT, but not for all the other skills as well.

Semantics:
mos of the trainings train more than 1 skill... PLUS there's a 10% cross training to random skills too...

Semantics.

So, let me ask you this. I practice my inside shooting. Post moves, hook shots, catching alley-oops, layup drills.

How does that make me a better free throw shooter? even in IRL how does that make me a better free throw shooter?

Jump Shot, Jump Range, yeah I can see your point. Driving, Inside shooting.. how's that make free throw shooting better?

It make no sense that a player practice one only skill per week, but in BB it happens.

These are BB league guys though... not NBA legends...

You've never seen a highschooler? or college kid, focus on only one skill at a practice for a week? an emphasis? I have.

Are these usually the best players on the team/in the world, no. But they exist. and it happens. I wouldn't say it "makes no sense" but I would say it's "not Ideal". Maybe in BB some of the players are guys that otherwise would only have the special olympcis to look forward to do to Inclusion rules and discrimination? who can say for the backstory of how the BB leagues were formed? Maybe these players, also have full-time jobs, plus familes, and dont have the time commitment to work on more than 1 skill per week. Think of their families and children!

Okay... then by comparison:
At what age does Ft decline like all the other skills? At what ages does FT train fastest before it hits a peak for the traininpurposes? All of that would have to be calculated and reworked... otherwise everyone would eventually be a legendary Ft shooter...
