From DMI at proficient GS, we know ST drops every week. So a 10.0 ST player should drop the week after it reaches that level. This is clearly not the case as I mentioned for this very player and I've had players in the past lasting at 10 for several weeks.

Other than that drops, irrespective whether they are random like for other skills or they are stable drops, should be calculated BEFORE training of course. That is not even debatable.

So yes Marin should come here and explain if this is a bug and why or why not. He needs to explain how ST can drop when you train it. It needs to be from him: no speculation.

that doesn't sound so surprising to down then.
What are you talking about? ST decreases steadily: we know this from observing DMI. Yes 10 is the max, but it still is a BUG if you train ST and it drops. For it not to be a bug, Marin needs to come out and say:
1. ST drops are not regular and steady. but they are just like any other skill
2. For some idiotic reason drops are calculated AFTER training
3. If he admits ST drops in lumps in answer 1, he also needs to explain why a young 9 GS player steadily sheds DMI every week: it can only be a reduction in skills or reduction in ST and since there has never been a drop in skill in a young player, we already can figure out the answer

However, true, I don't know. Nobody else knows either. And you already said you weren't willing to accept an answer from the only guy who could know.
Wrong, I said it would be a bogus answer because the guy does not understand basic things (ie. his explanation won't make sense) and when he does understand he still tries to twist the narrative to make himself look better and obfuscate (ie. his explanation will be bogus). So yeah, let him explain this and you will see what I'm talking about.

My best guess would be that ST drops are regular but still somewhat random (0.01 - 0.1 for example) and drops are definitely calculated after pops. This is the only thing that I can think of that provides some explanation.

I would too appreciate an answer as it is an interesting bug.

On another note - I don`t think that hate and insults help the situation...

Why drop should be before training ?

Because of the hard cap on ST. Unlike all other skills it cannot go higher than 10. So when you get (for example) +0.65 from training and -0.05 from regular skill drop the result is still +0.6 that should be added to ST. If pops are calculated first, ST hits the ceiling and after the drop calculation the end training effect can actually be negative (as is the case apparently). It doesn`t make sense... to me at least.

Ask Perpete here why he had to delete part of public posts from Marin directed at me and then you may reconsider this statement.

Marin has a long, very long, track record of missing points or ignoring them entirely. He also argues 'vehemently' against people and then sneakily does the opposite he argued for. He's the last person you want to defend and I mean this as a person, not as a developer. Alas this is not the thread for this.

Stamina drops? What are they? /s

All jokes aside, I agree that a player should never decline in a skill they are actively training in that week, unless of course they are really old, which isn't the case here.

Eh Perpete, I expect better from you. I asked (270734.154) and, to your credit, among all GMs it was you who came through: look who deleted a couple of offensive paragraphs from Marin's post (270734.149).

A minor problem with what you did there is that by editing the paragraphs instead of deleting Marin's entire post, my deleted message can still be seen by GMs, while the offensive paragraphs I was replying to are not.

Now that I refreshed your memory on one such episode, you can delete the last 2 messages in this thread.
