Oh, I ddin't mean eligible. Why can't everyone just play in the first week? How many total teams play in B3?

Why can't every eligible team play in the first week? Because at some point in a single-elimination tournament, you need to get down to having the number of teams as a power of 2. The number of eligible teams varies from year to year, since some teams win both league and cup, there may be a new former B3 champ, etc. So they schedule as many games as necessary to leave the next round as a power of 2.

This time around, there are 17 week 1 games, which means that 145 teams qualified... 17 will be knocked out, and there will be 128 (2^7) next week.

2nd round (first full round) draw is up and will have to travel to uruguay for a tough game against C.S Larrañaga (106865). A couple stud centers, Belloni and Pirovano, along with two very good small forwards (50k/41k) that are likely more guard type players. Not the best chances in this one.

4 of my last 5 B3 games on the road, and 2 of those 5 against the two time B3 champion. Definitely not getting the roll of the dice with these draws.

Well this will be a short run in the b3 again. Starting SF injured for 2 weeks last night, randomly poor game shape update last week, and drawing a difficult opponent on the road. Three strikes.

I only have 8 players (rest are scrubs, mostly for bot cup games). Starting SF, Verseck, picked up a 2 week injury yesterday, so I'm down to 7 effective players.

Hoped to build up a versatile roster of 8 really solid players, instead of 6 solid players a 4 decent backups. But the injury to Verseck, key to playing an outside game at SF and my best backup pg/sg, looks to have caused the whole plan to backfire.

being down 4 points at the half with only 7 players isn't that bad though.

yeah, surprised its close, losing the tactics on the road and worse game shape overall.

dont expect it to remain this close though

and yet it got closer. having his power forward out of the game should help now.

the 4th quarter has been exactly what I expected. ah well, another terrible performance in the B3.

might be time to rebuild.
