My Machines also managed to slip past SCBT Rebels last night on the road. We get a break next round.

64 teams remain.

Tournament games of interest this week:
Heroes @ sphinx
Steamers @ Digging for Change (NBBA)
Vikings vs. San Jose Sharks (II)
McMornings @ Unstoppables (II)

A great night for the McMornings... I was at a Neko Case concert, but nonetheless, what a great win!

Heroes couldn't shake the HCA at sphinx2000
Steamers fell at the hands (in the pockets) at Digging for Change (NBBA)
Vikings fell valiantly, had some nice ratings, mmm... lost to San Jose Sharks (II)
McMornings got it on! Beat the Unstoppables (II)

Which begs the question again, McMorning: How is the home team determined? I would argue that it is not totally random as I will be facing my seventh consecutive road opponent. However, then I see that three of the II teams go on the road at NBBA teams, which fact seems to fly in the face of my beliefs that somehow the lower-division teams have at least a slight advantage toward gaining HCA. Does anyone know how HC works? Pappy

If I were an NBBA team, I'd be more upset at playing another NBBA team than at playing on the road for games a bit more than 50-50... meaning that I care more about the draw than the HC determination I guess.. Especially since the last few rounds are neutral court now.

I think that it's all random, both factors, the draw and the host. Random drawing & weighted hosting may seem like a good combo for 'competitive balance'

This is true as far as I know.

At least you have HCA.

I hit the end of mine; mostly thanks to botching last week's cup lineup and having crappy GS this week, and partly for TIEing on the road against a CT.
