what about for the more rounded SF players that need inside and outside skills... would you expect training to show on their best skills if they were awful or worse on 1 or 2 of their stats?

going back to a thread i started just now.. are there skills that are not required for certain positions??

Of course.

However, it's one I believe very strongly in.

Players need balanced training to train efficiently.

If they train a few relevant skills (relevant for inside players being Inside Shot, Inside Defense, Rebounding, Shot Blocking) and don't train them all, then eventually training will slow down.

Do mean rotate those four for big men? Or that they need all the other skills trained in addition?

I'm going on the assumption bringing the BIG MAN FOUR up to decent levels is the way to go. With taking each man's lowest rated skill in that group up to 'equal' or so with the other three being the most important first move.

How soon is "eventually"? I have this player:

Inside Shot: average Inside Def.: strong
Rebounding: average ↑ Shot Blocking: atrocious

His ID, IS and Reb have all trained at the same rate as my balanced trainees. How far away can the other skills get (currently 5 levels) before I can expect a slowing down in training speed? 10 levels? 15?

if the theory is correct. i would start on your shotblocking, since its way behind the other skills.

Like we said.. it's still a theory. There might not even be a slow down for all we know, but most people do believe there is one. That's all we know.
