i don't get what your problem is
would you prefer everyone to have a lower salary team than yours? lol

Well do be honest my major 2 problems with this game at the moment appear to be Team Akuma and MJP.
(Hadders, Avalaon Jets etc etc are a few of the other problems)

would you prefer everyone to have a lower salary team than yours? lol

Id be happier if your weekly salaries were a bit higher given how far we are out from finals

At the moment Im happy to be banking a 100k a week

Your "moves" certainly have added a lot of interest to the season and demonstrate to all how a few trades can make a huge impact.

I intend to be the first to congradulate you if you do promote and given my focus is primarily on training I doubt if I will be the team to challenge you

Mate I cut short my time in the ABBL and spent 4 and a half mill buying them (my 3 trainees) as 18 yos.

Do you think honestly that I didnt buy a decent trainer?

Says she who wasnt able to get Guest into the Under 21s team.

Different subject

Anyone have an idea as to what Team Akumas weekly merchandise would be?

Just done some sums on what their economy might be

Attendance 321900 (after ticket price increase and based on 100% attendance)
Merchandise 110000 (Guess based on Duffills presence in the National team)
TV contract 138633

Total income $620533

Expenses

Players salaries 609965
Staff salaries 20000 (They have to have a doctor of some ability)
Scouting 0
Cup Victorys 50000

Total expenses $629965

Equals a running loss of roughly $9432 per week which is not a lot.

Bit surprised at how well their depth players are going

They definately can go all the way and win

They would need to have about 700K in the bank after tomorrow mornings financial update, to supplement their trading losses and a week without attendances during Allstar week, and no cup income after the Allstars week, by my reckonings to financially survive the season

Unless they have considerably more than 700K in the bank, they will need a long cup run (to keep attendances up and to collect weekly cup money)

They need to have an excellent run with injuries (cant afford to have Duffill sitting on the sidelines)

They need most of their opponents to be intimidated by them and to surrender meekly.

Top spot for them in the league is not "absolutely vital" given the strength of their starting line up, but it would definately be preferential.

At some stage the transfer market could be extremely important to them and any deals will possibly draw some scrutiny

My gut feel is that Team Akuma is not sitting on millions in stashed cash, so it should be a really interesting finish to the season

merchandising figure is way off IMO... more likely to be around $60, max $70k.

I think he saved up quite a bit the last 2 or more seasons though, so losing $40k a week isnt such a big deal, especially if its offset by cup winnings.

who knows - maybe an idea is that he will win enough games to stave off relegation, and then tank such that he can win the cup. Im sure he could with that lineup.

He's line up is no where good enough to win the cup, it wouldnt even be as good as the team I had in div 2 in season 15 but I guess I was paying a couple hundred K a week more for mine

Merchandise wise I thought I read some where that if you had a player in the National team that you got a quarter of his salary in merchandise.

Given that my own merchandise was 62.5K last week, Im pretty confident that he'd be getting a 110K a week in merchandise

I don't like loosing and I still want to make the finals. So I do what I need to.

No problem with that gregc, did you end up having a role with the National team?

This is news to me. i didnt think that peeps merch dropped $25k suddenly due to nat team rep stopping. Certainly wasnt the case with the U21's.
mind you, ive been sick last few days, slept pretty much all day yesterday, so the old nog isnt working like it should.
