I might have been a little zealous about free throws but I just checked my players' stats. My 5 players with strong or better FT shoot a minimum of 78% and the highest of 88%. I think these numbers are sufficient. What I hate seeing is my team below 50% from the line when 75% would have won the game.
So my official stance on free throws is I try to get my players to at least Strong. I also noticed that players with better jump shot had a better FT percentage than lower JS players with the same Free Throw skill. But it is not linear so may have some correlation but I don't have enough data to be exact.

I haven't noticed any correlation between JS and FT myself...in fact some of my best shooters have been horrendous FTers.

That being said, my team FT has gone from 51% to 65% between seasons 35 and 38, and I've probably used the training 6 times.

Question: Is there a reason why my shooting guard is a reluctant shooter? I noticed during the scrim that he only shot more once my point guard was in foul trouble and nobody else was making shots. Also is there a way to make him more selfish because I think he could probably put up 50 but he mostly ices himself out of the first quarter.

I just looked at your last 2 games, the scrimmage and last league game. Patient offense will work to get the ball in the hands of your best offensive player. Since Helanen is a much stronger player, most possessions will end with him.

Princeton offense tries to avoid jump shots that are not wide open 3's.

Yeah I was confused for half the game when Dwight wouldn't shoot. That makes a lot more sense. Thanks!

The Big 8 is about to gain 3 bots, and even Peachtree is potentially a couple weeks behind them. WOW.

The Great 8 has 2 bots, and about to gain a third, but has a new team Phantasms, and if that name is any indication, it is probably a former active manager, so that's a good sign, potentially.

And if so, welcome back!

How do you tell who is going to be bots or not? Would it be based on their activity levels?

Sad day that it Helanen is tired trying to carry the rest of my team. Last game made me sad as there was multiple chances to get into striking distance but he just ended up running out of steam.

Yeah, its by activity levels. I periodically check the conference pages (you can click Big 8 and Great 8 above the standings) and it shows you a little snapshot for each team, their recent results, and last login date. That's where I was looking.

1 more game until the playoffs. I was lucky enough to get the top 3 teams in my final 4 games. I only lost one of them to Minnesota. Now to play the #1 seed, Grand Reign. Even if I win he will still be #1 by point differential. I don't know what my strategy will be yet.
