It does not raise the price to 5,5 mil, so it's still cheating. You would be better off training C skills if you want to make money. If you create a player for your own team, go ahead train passing, but you will not get much more for them on the TL.

I would disagree, in that if a person were to create a totally unique player that is rarely/never seen on the TL (such as a center with good big man skills and also incredible passing skills), the TL estimator is not going to be able to do a good job of estimating his true value, because so few of those players have ever been sold. Who is to say what the 'real' value of such a player should be? That is why the TL is an auction and value is not just based on player salary or something; if people want to pay more for a certain combination of skills that is not cheating, it is just paying a premium for a rare/unique player.

It's another one of those "IF" situations. Having 7 passing vs 10 passing on a C does not raise the price 3 mil. Believe me. The price range is given for a bunch of players having different secondary skills. Some of them sell on the upper limit of the transfer estimate, others sell near the lower limit. None of them are worth twise the max estimate.

I guess the thing that worries me is that it's sort of a catch all. Catching cheaters is good, but what if like in my desperate team scenario, or the previous poster's unique player scenario, a player sells outside the usual range by like 25-50%? You report it, it's clean so you don't get in trouble, but you still get the adjustment because the price isn't in the range?

Having 10 passing on a Center does raise the price substantially - if he has handling too (which you would assume at least 5-6 based on the passing training then if the rest of the skills fit a 4mil triple tremendous IS/ID/RB guy with a bit more upside due to potential could quite easily fetch 6-6.5mil and if you are interested and a direct rival of yours is bidding then this is another reason why it would not be uncommon to see players going above TPE's.... if you are entering the playoffs and banking on signing a guy and your closest rival appears on the current winning bid, do you even consider the TPE or how much over you are prepared to pay?

You are going to that, if this, if that. You want to tell me that you are 24/7 online and scout every player on the market to catch your rival bidding. Perhaps he bids in that 3 min range and wins quite fast. Sometimes there are bidwars but they never go to 5mil on a 2 mil max ranged player. The triple tremendous guy does not sell for 2 mil. Those guys come on the market with no suggested price range, as those players are seldom on the market.
Training 3 passing will not net you more money. Training IS/RB/ID instead of passing "might" get you into a different pricerange.

Sure - i cant imagine it comes up very often - but I've encountered some familar names on the TL in the past and expect to in the future!

Come on guys.
Its a free market as long as there is no cheating of money transfer,
Its our right to buy player cheap and then resale it.

Day trader is hard work and the profit is not worth the effort and the overall peanlty

On the other hand, is there responsibility for the buyer to check out the market (or the players history) to know that that same player has been sold within a day at much lower deal?

I said there are many impatiant, unsmart, poor buyer that allow the smart, hardworking, cash handy day trader to profit.
