I agree with Manon about the OD. In D5, strong or proficient OD is all you need. After that, I would go with PA until it is also strong or proficient. If you want a PG, the highest skills should be JS/OD/PA. If you want an SG, highest skills should be JS/JR/OD. If you want a combo guard, then most of his skills should be close, with OD/PA being one or two levels above the others.
When he turns 20, I would personally work on his HA/DR a bit with One on One for Guards. If you want an offensive guard, his end build may look a little like this: 14/10/12/13/15/13. This will give him a 41k salary, put at 86-95% of his cap space, and would be a formidable guard in D3. If you want defensive, he may look a bit like this: 13/10/16/12/14/11. This gives a 36k salary and puts him at 85-93% of his cap. A word of caution, however: try not to get his JR/HA/PA too high, as it will eat into his cap room and salary.

Thanks for the tips, guys. I'll probably train him to be a PG or combo guard, with a focus on offense.

Would I be able to train another player with a different build at the same time, or would that slow it down too much? I'm probably going to try to get another trainee in the draft.

Hi all!
I would like to have your opinion If I should make my SF inside or outside or maybe all-around oriented...?
I seem to play a lot of teams that puts a PF or SG at their SF-position, so with his potential I realize ofc that I must choose both defence & offence training direction (can't have phenomenal on all stats ;).

These are his stats:
Age: 21
Height: 6'5" / 196 cm
Potential: superstar

Jump Shot: 11
Jump Range: 7
Outside Def.: 12
Handling: 10
Driving: 7
Passing: 7
Inside Shot: 11
Inside Def.: 13
Rebounding: 8
Shot Blocking: 4
Stamina: 5
Free Throw: 4

well, nice young fella.

its all about your own preferences. maybe dont train him in rebounding, because this will stop him very fast. on the other hand i like rebounding-sfs ;-)
i have good experiences with an allroundguy, similar to yours regarding size and potential:

Rickleff Distler (4599748)

Rickleff Distler was pick 14 in the season 4 draft by Roter Stern Konstanz.

Weekly salary: $ 86 910

Age: 33
Height: 6'4" / 193 cm
Potential: superstar

Jump Shot: marvelous(15) Jump Range: prolific(11)
Outside Def.: tremendous(13) Handling: prolific(11)
Driving: prolific(11) Passing: strong(8)
Inside Shot: sensational(12) Inside Def.: sensational(12)
Rebounding: sensational(12) Shot Blocking: awful(3)
Stamina: average(5) Free Throw: tremendous(13)

Experience: prominent(10)
----

he always contributed offensively, but needed another scorer at his side, regardless of the tactics. he was best when he was option no2.
defensively there were times when he got outscored by a shooter or strong-insideplayer, but overall he did a very good job defensively.
if i look back, before i maxed him out (with js and reb) maybe 2-3 lvls passing would have been fine, but at this time there was more speculation than knowledge about playercapping

hope this helps
regards
