anything could happen - you are all still one win out of 4th and 2 from me at 3rd...so CFH and I are not out of the woods yet, hence my decision to tank against crocs and protect my players minutes.

good luck all in the run home...very tight season with many twists and turns to go no doubt (unless you are crocs or meateors!).

agree that things are real interesting coming into the home strech

big8

koop is trying to hang on but razzie is surging and wants to pass him but we think he will fall just short

goldfish, thunder and bears are fighting hard for 3-5, my brutal loss to thunder in ot by free throws could cost me a lot there

thunder has 3 tough games from the final 5 with koop, razzie and bears
we have 3 tough games with razzies, bears and koop
bears have 3 tough games goldfish, thunder, razzies - they are a game thunder-fish behind but way up on %

and on our side kynlala is suddenly alive and wont be a very nice relegation opponent or a free win

the rat and the brick are heading to d3

great 8

meateors and crocs racing to the end - too close to call - they play eachother on the 14th, big game

northcote couldnt ask for an easier last 5 games playing meteors and 5, 6, 7 and 8 so should be safe in 3rd

cowboys have meteros and crocs probable losses and then pride, battlers and even flames may look to try and steal one, 4th is up for grabs

battlers have a great draw with cowboys and slammers at home, they could go 4-1 in the last 5 but a 1 point loss to pride must hurt

pride has an average draw but their pd means they are effectivly a game behind battlers

flames pd is even worse meaning they have to be a game up on pride too and they have a brutal last 3 - home to crocs (lose), away to pride (must win) and away to cowboys (must win)

finally "ding"

hahah great write up
looks like this season is coming down to the wire with teams fighting to avoid relegation.

agree that the BIG 8 teams are locked with rat and brick looking very likely to demote.
teams in the GREAT 8 should be looking to avoid iwen as he is scary opponent to face in a relegation series.

great write up.

This is the end of the season when people start looking after their efforts trying to take an advantage into the playoffs. For the teams who are battling for the final places it is all about pushing to get into the playoffs, being tempted by the extra cash, or risking losing the chance. Should be interesting to see what the teams in the fight for the playoffs do in the run home. There are acouple of teams, of which luckily I am one :D who can afford to sit back and watch the fights.

Any way you look at it I am still thinking koop could take the whole thing, should be a good run into the playoffs.

Don't worry Meteors you can cancel me off the radar now, I just spent 800k on a reject.
I had several windows open at the time and bidded on the wrong player. ffs.

this is what happens when your chatting, watching the houston rockets/detroit pistons game and monitoring several players all at once... i fail at multitasking.. GG

At least we know for a fact that you are male :P

I am curious as to what people think the biggest difference in between Div III and Div II.

Also how have the new promoted teams found Div II

and none of 'I just logged in and there it was'

well i was born in d3/6 in season 10 r4 so i aint as old as some, the only season 10 team in the league and the dingers are the only s11, funny that my 3 buddies are the next 3 youngest, koop, kynlala and cowboys are all s9

ill tell you some things that are the same first

1) win lose or draw you gotta improve your team, training and making money have to be keys to your long term success
2) at least half the games are no-contest in d3 half the league are scrubs that you spank without thinking, for a new team half the teams are unbeatable so just manage training and gs and dont try to win
3) stars win games, sure it is nice to have a balanced team but of the teams i know best myself, iwen and koop our teams really rely on a few stars
4) you have to always be parient, each game needs to help set you up for the following game, week, season
5) injuries are $#!+

differences

1) money, obv you make a lot more, but it is easy to spend a lot more too and end up going no-where, you have a lot more options and with 2-3 weeks saving you can buy a solid d2 standard backup or passable starter
2) less chat, maybe i was just in a very active league but this one is really quiet, lucky iwen koop and lukebee all chat in our pl forums, there is more discussion there about d2/1 than here, i think the peeps here are more serious, a pity
3) insane off the charts players, yeah maybe it is relative, there are stars in d2 too but here there are all these insane nt/u21/100k+ dudes that really dominate games, it makes things very unpredicatble especially when the cup is on as those guys pop in one game and smash a strong team then pop out the next and the teams loses what should be an easy one (one day xie will be one of those players)
4) every win is important, yeah it can be in d3 as well but mostly you are fairly flexible, it seems here things are much tighter and one loss can change everything (eg 0.00 left and thunder scores to force ot, then 0.00 left in ot we foul him ftl - could cost us from 3rd to 5th) ps - thx ratty for getting one back for me :)
5) hard to train rookies - i have 2 18yos i have tried to give 48+ every week this season, but it is painful at times
6) a little depressing knowing that you are many seasons away from winning

one thing we feel proud of is our start of season predictions

at the start we had a look and tried to work out which teams were the best

we said best teams were

The Meateors A+
Steves Crocs A
Razzle Dazzles A
DownUnder Thunder A
Koopasaurus A

fairly close to the real sitch

we also feel good that we can compete with those teams and when we try are in with a shot

+1 Most of what Fishy said!
I was expecting it to be a lot harder to win a game here. I have done better than I thought I would. I thought I'd be scraping to get to 6th/7th position for the whole season...
It's not over yet though, I could still end up there over the next few weeks. It's gonna be a tight run home for us guys at 4th-7th.
Good luck everyone!

Its wearing on my mind...
