Putting up huge numbers when you're the only one dominating the ball does not equal greatness. It just means a guy is the best player on his team and is playing with a bright green light. If Lebron didn't wait until the end of the shot clock to look for an opening, he'd likely find more open shots for his teammates. Plus, he hasn't really been all that great on defense. The guy is taking more than 30 shots a night (while travelling and pushing off the whole time) so if he wasn't scoring close to 40 per, it would be pathetic. Granted, the series would have been a sweep without him there, but I have not seen him be great at any point during the series, especially the 4th quarter of game 4...

I agree, but I guess the main point is, he made it competitive at least, for a few games.

Looking at my schedule, it looks like you will have the last word, at least to see who of us gets the #1 seed in the playoffs. None of us can play vs Barca though, he is promoting is my prediction.

I think that's a fair prediction at this point, despite my desire to say I think we could take them.

I do want to point out that I think it's cool the entire Big 8 has a positive point differential right now.

yes... that's nice. Now you see how I felt over here in great 8 past few seasons with flex zone stars, super sonics, lol lol, st louis stars, sigma, etc. Although a lot of those guys went bot saint louis did the same thing bocande just did... if those guys and stayed active our conference would be a pain. well Super Sonics promoted, he survived the relegation series last season, and I think he's in 4th in his d3 this season. Louis had 2 young 40k bigmen i remember. Sigma was loaded at the guard position. There was also a guy with a 100k Center, (my 1st season here) but he went bot after like a week. Flex zone Stars is doing well in a relatively weak d3, he's 2nd in his conference with a 9-6 record.

that said, the league is still competitive though. It's not like I blew out every big 8 team by 50+ despite my 15-0 record.

The league has weakened though, quality wise--> mostly down to the turnover of teams in great 8, 5th place to 8th place are new teams, that are also inactive so... it's basically like playing a bot (computer managed) team. Free blowout wins.

Plus bocande was a 50-0 forfeit win for everyone

What do you guys think about the draft?
Porzingis, do you think he'll be a star or a stiff? I'm leaning star, based on what I've seen and his performance in Spain.

It sucks that our league has gone bot on about half of it, but there's still quite a few good teams, and I really like the active (and mature) message board.

Winslow was my favorite player in the draft, and he went to my favorite team Miami Heat, so I'm happy =)

Surprised he dropped to 10th though.

Porzingis will be good imo, I think Russel is a bust. Everyone was going crazy about that pick lol.
