I have always equated getting supporter to giving money to PBS or NPR. the private leagues and ability to get a 2nd team are the equivalent of the Prairie Home Companion coffee mug or the best of Lawrence Welk DVD collection you get for donating. And I guess it is benevolent of the BB management to allow the countries with a perceived economic issue to have for a lower donation figure that Thistle and Shamrock CD collection.





But if we are going to do this let's go a step further and offer Platinum supporter or whatever you want to call it. All things considered is often underwritten by the Bill and Melinda gates foundation. How about the Hrudey foundation? Instead of the Pugh Charitable Trust how about the WARDO and Wolph trust?

Don, tell us what our super duper supporters will get for blasting their piggy bank with a howlitzer?

Thanks Wink, our supporters get for their comfort and convenience the ability to start a private league, or maybe a private cup or tourney and invite whomever they please. Or maybe give those who are all in the ability to schedule extra games under private league settings if having six games a week is not enough already.

Not sure why everyone's hating this. A vast majority of people who buy Supporter will save money now. If your country is considered richer, well there's no change for you guys but it's not a negative change either.

As an American, I'll happily bank that extra $10 and go buy a couple beers with the savings (if I choose to buy Supporter in the future)!

What's crazy to me is we went quite awhile with nothing done with the game and then just this season you see they are actively trying to help this game and yet the majority is still complaining.

Ya'll realize you're all complaining about discounts and whether or not the terminology for "major" applies to this? Just be thankful they are doing something, this IS a good update. I would personally be more upset if we had a "major" update to the GE or training mid season.

It IS a major development as it changes something to the game for all players except for the players from 8 (mostly small) countries.

Also, it is called 'supporter'. Unlike in many games where paying gives you an advantage over other players, this is a way to support the developers and show your appreciation for the only serious basketball management game out there. It makes sense you're not going to ask someone to pay a month's worth of food just to show appreciation.

Despite the tiers being questionable (good BB that you're willing to consider changes), this is a great development! And if you want more and quicker development, go buy supporter for 10 people who don't have supporter. Development takes time and/or money and this is in essence a free game.

I don't think it's a matter of hating it....I am sure most would agree that this is a good thing to do....The problem is in the previous season news announcement it was said "To help with the development, we’ve hired a couple of new programmers and once they get settled in, we’ll introduce them to the public. For now, we’re only introducing a development calendar, something to better keep track of the upcoming features. Most of them are still going to be kept as a surprise, but we’ll disclose their size (major or minor) and release date.?"

Changing your pricing structure is neither a feature or a developmental accomplishment. New BB's were not required to change the pricing structure. When you say a Major Development is happening on such and such date, we (most of us) expected something that would change the game in some compacity.

The BB's have stated for many years that being a supporter has ZERO impact on your gameplay and ability to be competitive...So making a change to the supporter pricing has ZERO impact on gameplay or being competitive. This could have and should have been something they just simply announced whenever...it didn't need any sort of buildup or calendar reference to draw attention to a coming change.
