📅 Game 20 (Saturday, Sept 20, 2025)
Wasco survived, the Reductions handled business, and Llama put on a poster session. Two games left and the brackets aren’t set quite yet. Let’s go:

🌟 Game of the Night: Kiwi 92 – Wasco 93 🥝🐅
Five-point Kiwi lead with 2:00 left… and then Wasco did Wasco things. Sorensen’s 35 plus clamps on the final possession (a head scratching look from Palma who was 0–9 FG on the night) iced it, while Pisano vacuumed 23 boards. Rae (27, 5–9 3PT) and Guaraes (18 on 7–10) had Wasco wobbling, but the Tigers’ 60–48 glass edge and late-game shot-making kept the 1-seed on track.

📈 Meridian 82 – The Reductions 94 🔴☕
Statement quarters: Reductions won the 2nd 28–12 and the 3rd 22–13 to cruise. Ying Ming (26, almost all from the first half) and Major (23) set the tone, while the bench piled in enough to keep minutes sane. Meridian got 27 from Cervantes and 15 from Pollock, but shot 6–25 from deep and never recovered from the mid-game avalanche.

🚀 Bench Mob 84 – Wobbles 111
Mob pushed effort and went Look Inside; Wobbles shrugged and ran a clinic. Anguera (18/6 ast), Samara (15 on 6–13 with 3 threes) and a 53–42 board edge told the story. Mob’s interior trio battled (Huffman 13 on 6–7; McFadden 10 reb) but shot 33–92 overall and only 3–11 from deep. Wobs keep the Big 8 lead.

🍔 BC Lituanica 73 – Tasty 121
A palate cleanser for Tasty fans. Seven in double figures, Dickens 22 rebounds, Benoit (23/16), Bachelier (20), McAteer (21), and an efficient 43–83 FG as the lead ballooned every quarter. Lit’s Paama (19) and Skrzypacz (14/9 ast) fought, but 22–72 shooting won’t travel.

🐗 Wellington 120 – Ferth 107
Professional road win. Abrahamsohn was a metronome (26/11 ast on 10–14), Apatič 27, Bunn 16 with 10 boards, and Wellington hit 13 threes at 48%. Ferth’s Spuldzinieks dropped 31 and Faltýnek added 16/17, but the Warthogs’ 48 glass work and 28 assists smoothed every bump.

🦙 California Supreme 51 – Llama 118
This was a dunk tape. Llama shot 57% and ripped 12 steals, 9 blocks; Sánchez went 12–14 for 25/12, Doerr 23, Kung yung 9 with 8 ast (from the 5!), and Babenko piloted the blowout. Cali took the night off.

🔧 Innovatus 115 – FR-S 101
Zigui (29 on 10–13 and 8–8 FT) dominated; Richardson added 23; Ikoma handed out 11 assists; and Innovatus hit 51% as five cracked double figures. FR-S actually scored inside (Mims 26 on 12–15, Zviedris 14/10), but the outside is where they got hung up: 1–12 from three and turnover leaks ended any upset talk.

🌪️ The White Walkers 33 – Delta 126
Piccolo has found his rhythm next to Olmos, and Delta is looking tough as we get closer to the playoffs. I’m beginning to think The White Walkers may not get a W this season….

📊 Stars of the Night
Sorensen (Wasco): 35/13, game-winner energy.
Pisano (Wasco): 15/23, owned the glass late.
Ng Ying Ming (Reductions): 26 on 63% with four triples, set the tone.
Abrahamsohn (Wellington): 26 pts, 11 ast, conductor’s baton.
Sánchez (Llama): 25/12 on 12–14; efficiency clinic.
Zigui (Innovatus): 29 on 10–13, eight freebies, bully ball.

🔮 What It Means
Top lines held: Wobbles lead the Big 8 (16–4) with Innovatus one back; Reductions stabilized but not locked in to 3rd (or the playoffs, at that); Tasty and Meridian are tied at 11–9, Bench Mob is trying to stay relevant. Over in the Great 8, Wasco (15–5) remains in control, Delta (13–7) is surging, Kiwi/Wellington are fighting for the final two spots as Llama surges. A lot can happen with two games left.

Well Stillhere, regarding the Big 8 playoff seeding after the first 3rd of the season and the end of the first round of divisional play, I thought our upcoming matchup with Innovatas would be huge for the number one seed. But now with a 77 point lead it appears that the 1 and 2 Seeds are pretty well set unless the Wobbles get crushed Tuesday night. Also, We seem to have caught a break as if there was ever a time to play Innovatas on the road It is now as their game shape is in a bit of a struggle. We will see ...

I didn't run through the playoff implications in my head - I just realized I locked in a playoff spot and you, more or less, have the top spot set. Bench Mob is also out of a playoff spot, barring a massive meltdown.

The Tasty/Meridian game looms large this week and I'm sure they'll both bring it hard. It looks like the Great 8 is likely to keep the current top 4. Should be a fun finish!

📅 Game 21 (Tuesday, Sept 23, 2025)
The playoffs are almost set and we got an interesting matchup from the must-win Meridian, Wobbles planted a flag, and Kiwi ran up the score. Let’s dive in.

🌟 Game of the Night: Tasty 105 – Meridian 119 🍔🌄
This one had stakes written all over it. Tasty showed up amped up on Red Bull and Meridian was sipping camomile—the wing-clipping drink of champions. After falling behind in the 1st, Meridian detonated in the middle frames, outscoring Tasty by 33 points across Q2 and Q3. Sarafis was smooth (23/9/4) and Cervantes came flamethrowing off the bench. Tasty leaned on Bachelier, but the gears never caught. Meridian now sits in the driver’s seat for the final playoff ticket.

📈 Wobbles 114 – Innovatus 87 🏀🚀
A playoff preview in name, but not in execution. Wobbles looked every bit the machine, ripping off balanced scoring and a statement defensive showing. Samara earned “best performer” honors, while Blum did his glue-guy thing off the bench. Innovatus saw Zigui get his touches, but they were outclassed everywhere else. If this is what we’re in for, the finals may already be penciled.

🐑 Kiwi 131 – Llama 78
Kiwi turned this into target practice. Rae drilled four threes, Palma was incredible off the pine, and Guaraes ate inside. The rebounding gap (71 boards for Kiwi) looked like varsity vs JV. Llama, maybe saving their legs, never fired a shot in anger. Statement win locks Kiwi into the three seed.

🍀 Reductions 117 – BC Lituanica 92
A swan song? With both teams’ rosters at the mercy of the invisible hand of the market—maybe. Reductions took care of business with steady, efficient play across the board. Major and Ying Ming set the tone early, and even the third string chipped in late. For BC Lit, it was the Pessach Show—49 points, 9 triples, carrying the whole offense on his back. Everyone else disappeared, and so have their chances.

💊 Delta 112 – Wellington 94
Shelley just put together a line for the ages: 34 points, 20 boards, and 5 blocks. He owned the paint, and Delta cruised to another win in their late-season surge. Wellington, secure at the 4-seed thanks to Llama’s tempered performance. Call it a free playoff scouting report.

🐅 Wasco 134 – California Supreme 90
Wasco locked up the #1 seed with authority. Khadyka (28/17) and Pisano (15/17) bullied Cali from the jump. Myles has settled into his role, dropping 39/8/5, but one star isn’t enough. For Wasco, the road to promotion goes through their own building.

👥 Bench Mob 120 – FR-S 109
Mob kept their flame alive with an offensive showcase—six players in double figures, ball zipping side to side. FR-S had Rocher dealing 11 assists and Zviedris maintaining his case for the MVP, but the bench depth and rebounding told the story. Bench Mob stays in the mix; FR-S is preparing to down shift.

🍷 Ferth 158 – White Walkers 60
Ferth stacked 45 assists, 25 steals, and 14 blocks. Peró had 9 steals off the bench. The Walkers’ Cristofaro turned it over eight times.

📊 Stars of the Night
Shelley (Delta): 34/20/5 blks, MVP of the evening.
Pessach (BC Lit): 49 pts, 9 threes, absolute flamethrower.
Sorensen (Wasco): 35 pts in cruise control.
Sarafis (Meridian): 23/9/4 in a season-saving win.
Peró (Ferth): 18 pts, 9 steals in a defensive masterclass.

🔮 What It Means
Meridian just grabbed the inside lane on the last playoff spot. Wobbles look untouchable, Delta’s peaking, and Wasco locked up home court. Kiwi is hunting higher ground, Reductions refuse to fade, and BC Lit is now just Pessach plus four warm bodies.

📅 Game 22 (Saturday, Sept 27, 2025)
Final night delivered chaos, career lines, and a buzzer-free heartbreaker. Tasty nuked the scoreboard, Wellington’s Bowling went Wilt, and Ferth swiped win as brackets locked in. Buckle up.

🌟 Game of the Night: Delta 103 – Ferth 104 💊🌪️
Eleven lead changes in a frantic final few moments and Ferth got the last word. Delta rode Olmos 30/6/8 and Porter’s efficient 29, but Faltýnek’s steady interior (22 pts, 15 reb) and Spuldzinieks’ 10 ast kept Ferth within striking distance. Whistle at the horn, cool free throws, ballgame Ferth. Ferth heads to the relegation series with momentum; Delta enters the 2–3 slugfest with Kiwi knowing late-game execution matters.

🦬 Wasco 106 – Llama 108 🦙🔥
Fun, tight, and a little weird. Sorensen (21) and Pisano 23 pts, 23 reb did their bully-ball thing, but Llama spread it around—Kung yung (23/9/5), Boyd (20), Mengler (20)—and hit just enough late freebies to steal it at The Barn. Wasco already had the 1-seed; Llama gets the moral victory before their relegation matchup.

📈 Meridian 125 – BC Lituanica 99 🟣📬
Meridian sprinted into the 4 with the last Big 8 ticket: Curley 31 (13–15 FG), Nash (20 & 9 ast), Sarafis (20), and Pollock’s glue-guy line (15/6/10) powered a 77-point first half. Pessach tried everything (33) and Paama added 27, but Meridian’s 37 ast parsed Lituanica’s M2M apart.

🍔 Reductions 83 – Tasty 153 💥🍿
Tasty made the rim look like a hula hoop: Büki 43 in 23 minutes going 10-10 FROM 3, plus four more starters at 16+ as Princeton carved up the Patient look. 55–79–24 splits, 30 ast, and a +70 mic drop. Reductions took it easy and was grateful for the cardio.

🧠 Bench Mob 106 – Innovatus 124 🧪⚙️
Clinic from Ikoma: 31 on 14–16 with tempo control, Thomas (27/9) and Zigui (22/7) piled on, and Innovatus hit 50–62–100 splits. Mob had bright spots—Papitzakis 28, McFadden/Huffman 16 each—but Innovatus’ length and 3–2 discipline suffocated the wings.

🕸️ Wobbles 116 – FR-S 103 🌊
Workmanlike #1 energy. Samara 22, Er-Rai 22, and Hosemann’s monster boardwork (19 reb, 8 ast) plus Rivera’s 13 dimes kept FR-S at arm’s length despite Zviedris’ 29 and Mims’ 28. Wobbles look playoff-ready and deep.

🐑 Kiwi 130 – California 68 🧼
Kiwi dominated the glass (63 reb) and shared it (29 ast). Palma 26 (8 ast), Yost 21 (10 reb), Hess Araya 16 (6 OR), Guaraes 10 (15 reb) … a team photo. Vogt fired a heroic 53 for Cali, but help never arrived.

❄️ White Walkers 56 – Wellington 124 🐗🧱
Bowling turned in a video game: 33 pts, 31 reb (16 OR). Cisneros nearly posted a triple-double (33/11/9). Wellington racked 63 boards, 28 ast, 19 stl; the Walkers…ya know.

📊 Stars of the Night
A. Bowling (Wellington): 33 & 31 (16 OR!), sledgehammer on the glass.
E. Büki (Tasty): 43 on 15–18, 10 threes in 23 minutes—microwave madness.
E. Vogt (Cali): 53 and almost all of his team’s offense—respect the grind.
T. Ikoma (Innovatus): 31 on 14–16 with control; playoff metronome.
B. Curley (Meridian): 31 on 13–15, set the tone in a must-win.

🔮 Playoff Preview Bites
Wobbles–Meridian: WOB’s size/flow (Rivera–Hosemann synergy) vs Curley’s interior polish. Meridian must win the turnover and FT margin battle to steal one.
Innovatus–Reductions: Ikoma/Zigui efficiency vs Patient iso. This one will tilt quick.
Wasco–Wellington: Pisano’s league-best boards vs Bowling’s insane 16 OR—yes please. Guard play (Davis/Ascensão vs Cisneros/Frey) decides pace.
Delta–Kiwi: Olmos/Porter punch meets Kiwi’s 63-rebound vibe. If Kiwi owns the glass again, this gets spicy. If not, Delta’s shooting wins the math.

Thanks - my little write-ups seem to have achieved their goal!

This was a fun little experiment, although I’m not sure I’ll do it again. At least, I doubt I’ll do it in the same way as this season. I’m thinking through what next season looks like- what’s interesting/entertaining but not as time consuming.

I’ve got an end of season post coming up this afternoon and then I’ll play around with some playoff ideas before taking a couple weeks off for the draft, where I’m certain to get a 6’8, $12k/wk, ATG 18 y/o with 85 TSP. I’m quitting if I pull anything less.

Season 69 Postview: Stars Shifted, Giants Held
The dust has settled and the receipts are in. Some payrolls ballooned, some rosters frayed, and a few old heads turned back the clock. In the end, the steady giants mostly held serve—while a couple chaos agents made sure we weren’t bored. Here’s how Season 69 actually played out.

Big 8: The Machine, The Metronome, The Mystery, The Ticket
Wobbles were exactly who the preview said they were: stable, ruthless, and deep. Samara paced the arc (Shooter of the season: 57 threes); Rivera piled up triple-double energy; Er-Rai did the dirty work. Top seed, no frills.
Innovatus chased hard behind Zigui (one of the rare 6-block club) and Ikoma’s conductor energy. They finished like a pro outfit—clinical and mean.
The Reductions lived on variance and vibes, yet landed in the bracket anyway. Some nights they looked like alchemists, others like lab assistants—still, the Patient/Princeton grindbank paid interest.
Meridian waited all season to punch their ticket into the playoffs. Curley’s paint efficiency and Pollock’s “everywhere” lines feel postseason-ready.
BC Lituanica ended as the league’s big question mark turned cautionary tale: Pessach was still a monolith (Top SG, 23.3/5.9/7.2 and MVP candidate; a triple-double on the ledger), but the supporting cast flickered. Rebuild sirens are gettin deafening.

Great 8: Hammers, Glass-Cleaners, and a Popcorn Machine
Wasco stayed bossy and well-oiled, leading the league in assists (600). Sorensen/Pisano kept the paint a restricted area.
Delta 9 brought the stat factory: Rebounds (1164), Blocks (162), and Top PG Carlos Olmos (19.3/4.4/6.9; “Best performer” rating king). When the jumper fell, scoreboards begged for mercy, and we’re bound to see more of that in the playoffs.
Kiwi Sheep Pimps led everyone in pace and points (2408) and rode a gang-rebounding ethos; Cristiano Guaraes’ MVP candidacy is strong as the Top C (12.7/12.8, 23.2 eff) while Hess Araya even joined the 3-block nightly bests.
Wellington were chaos on the glass and the break. A. Bowling dropped the line of the year (33 & 31, 16 OR; while Cisneros flirted with triple-doubles.
Ferth turned into a late-season popcorn stand (25 steals in one game, shout to Peró’s 9 steals)—and swiped a finale win.
Llama led the league in steals (164) and vibes; the Walkers…led the league in “we tried.”

Headline Performers (Buzzer-Manager receipts)
Season MVP: R. Zviedris (FR-S) — 25.1/12.5/3.9 on absurd efficiency (32.1). Box-score cheat code, even if the team result lagged.
All-League by slotPG: Olmos (Delta) • SG: Pessach (BC Lit) • SF: Skrzypacz (BC Lit; also tied the season-high 6 blocks) • PF: Zviedris (FR-S) • C: Guaraes (Kiwi).
Personal bestsPoints: Vogt (Cali) 53 • Rebounds: Bowling (Welly) 31 • Assists: Rocher (FR-S) 18 • Steals: Peró (Ferth) 9 • Blocks: Bruner (Delta), Skrzypacz (BC), Zigui (Inno), Paz (Reductions) at 6.
Triple-doubles roll call — Abrahamsohn (Welly), Clemens (Meridian), Lovaina (Tasty), Pessach (BC Lit), Villar (Cali), Rivera & Blum (Wobbles).
Season odditiesIron-man: Yulun (Walkers) 1056 minutes • Turnover magnet: Cerda (Walkers) 88 • Whistle-collector: Paama (BC Lit) 82 fouls.

Parting Shot
Season 69 promised upheaval and still crowned the usual grown-ups—just with louder fireworks. If the transfer list keeps humming (hi, BC Lit), Season 70 might be even messier. For now, sharpen those scout notes and pack a lunch. The giants are steady, the stars have shifted, and the bracket has teeth.

Season went off the rails and there wasn't much I could do... But still a good learning experience for me... Good luck to those who are left, I probably won't make another DII debut until a few more in game seasons as I try to build up defensive players for next time...
