What are you talking about? Merchandise has nothing to due with a player's salary. The most important thing for merchandise is the player ranking list. (League, conference, world) Believe me, make sure your best players are playing LEAGUE games. I was saving some of my best players for a deep cup run last season and a couple of my best players didn't have enough games to be counted towards the league list, and my merchandise dropped 70K in one week.
