Interesting MVP voting. Petersburg has the top three vote recipients and four overall. Don't think I've seen that before.

I truly don't understand the formula they use for MVP voting. Obviously you have to be on a top team to get consideration, so that's why petersburg's guys were so high, but my team also finished in 1st and I had comparable/better players than their top 3.

Hansen wins MVP averaging 13 pts/12 rebs? Finsterwalder had comparable minutes and averaged 16 pts/14 rebs and came in 5th.
2nd place averaged 19 pts/4 assists? Billingsley averaged 19 pts/ 5 assists and came in 9th.
3rd place averaged 12 pts/13 rebs? Saeedi averaged 15 pts/ 13 rebs (and 61% FG!) in less minutes and didn't even get a single vote!

Weird stuff. Must be a petersburg bias! Fans in Scranton are not happy with this.

Yeah. It is weird. Makes no sense to have the top 3. I would have thought the guard at #2 would have won. I agree Saeedi should have been in there as well.

Also think that while he had no chance, Moore should have garnered at least a 1 sixth place vote by virtue of his 69 pt performance in a league game. One of my few good memories of getting pummeled this year.

I am still not able to figure out this new game engine. I know I got killed because of my lack of depth. Regardless, a 20k player should never be able to hang with a 90k player. Don't really care what kind of back ups there are.

I am looking forward to playing Div III again and building up my depth. I think I can and still make money and come back to dII stronger, faster and better than before. Plus, I should be able to make a stronger run in the cup.

My MVP would be the guy I would most want from across the league if I were to start a new team and win.

I'd go with Billingsley.

Kukesi will surpass him in a season or so, but for now, Billingsley is class of the league...

Yeah. He's the bestest. I know I gotta sell him to recoup some value for him, but I drafted him and got him onto the U21 and NT teams, and it's so hard to say goodbye.

I also noticed that in the NBBA MVP voting, the Bulls (20-2 record) had 5 of the top 6 vote-getters. That's so dumb.

I see the point, but still think record should have something to do with it. While TWSS was focused on the Cup, Petersburg rolled through the league. So, I have no problem with his guy being picked. I think you might want that guard from Petersburg - he seems to play lockdown D and does everything else well.

I can't understand why one team would have all those players on the list for MVP. Shouldn't they take the one with the highest ratings and best stats?

Good luck Chunks in your new league and hope you get a strong draft pick.

Best bet is to pull an Astral and come back stronger than ever and hope you don't promote to II-1!

Like the Chunks, I came in on fire, made the playoffs a couple times and was looking to make a move. But, I am learning and I am looking forward to a season in dIII. I plan to do the Astral Weeks shuffle and come back stronger and deeper.

Good luck to all of you in DII.1 next season.

Peace,

Thanks for coining the phrase "doing an Astral"..... I just hope it's not a 1 season thing. Hoping I can maintain next year. Goodluck to you down there. Looking forward to seeing you again.
