I was just as enthousiastic as you are a few seasons ago when I coached the SA U21 NT. But today I'd answer no, these are not valid questions. When people wonder what you've done, they'll most likely check out your team and your results. I doubt that the majority will read your autobiography.

i might add you dont really need to win all 5 or 6 of those games you only need to qualify to the next stages and thats when the games and winning start. By the looks of it though you would want to come either second or third depending on who comes first and were certain other teams come in each group. Worked well for me anyway

wheres the rest of the 18yr olds?

Well i wont be voting for a manager that cant get the skills of the u21 and potential u21s up on the site. As a very keen trainer its something that is lacking currently and has been disappointing for a while.

I also know (from making contact with dozens of trainees last season) that many managers have been keen to hear "how is my trainee tracking". Someone willing to stick their neck out and tell them would be well received. I tried last season, with both a potential team, and a top 5 rating last season for the guards. I think the managers that saw how their trainee compared to others showed them things they needed to see to better their own trainees.

I saw your posts in the Wombat thread and could have commented but plenty already were. If I've got nothing to say I'll say nothing. If I had something of value to add to what other managers were saying, I would have said it.

As for your dig at my inability to 'get the skills of the U21 and potential players'...it's not that I don't know where to get them or even how to get them but haven't yet...I'd like to say I always have everything at my fingertips to keep you and others happy but I haven't...

As I said we would need to work out our needs before those last 2 games and decide how we want/need to play them.

So is it just 'my' autobiography that offends you, mate, or does Mickyster's autobiagraphy posted today that also meet with your distaste?

So, because you no longer have any enthusiasm you would taint that of those who do? You spoke of looking solely at results as the only indicator of success. I guess that is where we differ. Where you see two terms in the job as merely a 'job' to do, I see it as an opportunity to organise for the future while still doing the 'job'.

Maybe I should mention that I have a theory:

Nobody cares about what you post. People will eventually check out your team, which includes players, results and history. Then they'll see how cool your nickname sounds. Finally they might check if you're somewhat active on the debate thread, no matter what you post. From this they'll vote for a manager.

So basically, I'll drop a word here from time to time until the election's deadline and see where it takes me. I gotta test it :P

However, I promise you I'll be ready if I accidentally get elected.

I agree Mr Green
If it was just a results driven result we should just give the job to whoever has the highest country ranking for their team. And form that Latino should of got the result last time instead of Iwen. Guess that idea is a bit off.........

I think this line gives an insight to your campaign

Woow, didnt have a dig at all mate, relax. Perhaps the word "cant get the skills of the u21 and potential u21s up on the site" in my sentence should have read " chooses not to update", as you answered my qu saying you would not. Def not stating you didnt know how :)

In terms of my team post in the wombat thread, two points.
1. The fact you didnt have anything to add tells a story.
2. I was referring to ppl commenting on trainees progress, not commenting on individual teams on the wombat fed. Im talking about commenting on potential u21 players early to ensure they are given best possible chance on the u21 team. That IS the role of the u21 manager. Currently I have a 21yr old that may just miss the u21 team this season. I feel that, had I been given top level advice on my 21yr old when I was in need, he may have been given better training for what the team needs, and therefore a higher chance of being selected. I dont think that can happen in a "supporter only" fed. And as i said earlier, i know there were numerous trainers begging me for advice on how to improve their chances, something only the u21 manager can speak for.

The irony is this, Ezilife: Of those of us running you maybe the best person for the job. Mickyster and I are similar in our enthusiasm. We agree on many topics concerning the U21 NT and we disagree on some major ones. Maybe your theory will come to fruition. Maybe people will look at what is being posted by myself and Mickyster and say, "F#%k this crap...Ezilife's got my vote!"

But let me be clear: if you are elected, I will be the first to congratulate you and then ask you how I can help. Enthusiasm is hard to squash...

...And I have no doubt that you'll do the job well if elected.

Each to their own...
