If you thought there were many laughing at you back then, you should consider how many more are laughing at you after this post.

But since I'm an optimist, I like to see the glass half full. At least, unlike last season, you didn't have to pay for these players (of course you paid for scouting points, but don't want to burst your bubble). And hey, considering how bad the ones you bought were, it's unlikely these will be any worse in the skill department.

Didn't you have a draft like that many seasons ago?

He's not the first 48th pick HoF guy on my team, the other one was Spanish and a long, long time ago... Navarro. Actually, I just checked and Navarro was pick 47. Not sure who you are thinking of.

With no points invested, it's always gravy. Scouting 5/x 19yo is risky because even 5/5 19yos are probably not going to be great unless they have really something like 68 starting skills (well extremadabra did last season but he's homegrown so he probably scouted almost the entire draft). And if they are not going to be great then you may as well forego training altogether.

Before they introduced youth trainer and gym there may have been a case for high TSP 19yo with great starting secondaries, but now I think there is no argument, not with an extra season at a ridiculous training speed.

Depends what you are training them to be. I am happy to train players to be the third or fourth best players on my team, as long as they end up with the exact skill set I feel I need to complement my first and second scoring options. Some folks focus on creating outstanding individual players and good luck to them. I try to win basketball games and use every option open to me that suits my sense of how I want to play this game (predominantly home nation flag players and no trading). A freebie like Appleby will do me fine thanks!

I just realised I didn't directly address your point, if I'd have been scouting this draft I would have scouted the 5/5 19 year old to get a player like Appleby if I was drafting in the middle to late part of the first round. I've picked up a few decent MVP potential players that way that didn't quite work out for various reasons but that I was happy enough to draft at the time.

Hi everyone,

Well, I have been away and so I have not managed to say congratulations to everyone in the playoffs.
Another title for vecx congrats mate. Unlucky Gully I know you will be come back stronger next season but well done for making it to the finals.

Congrats Galaxy as well I think that might be 10-11 total to you. As always a solid team performance from yourself.

I put nothing in the draft and this is the first time since season 12 that I have got anything like a HOF without putting anything in. That is crazy and quietly funny considering...., however, I will be selling him as I want to continue to train my current two guys to completion.

Good luck to everyone in the EBBL for next season. I am purposely potentially going up to EBBL and then dropping down and then up again
depending on the league as my main focus has always been training for the U21 and NT. So I look forward to seeing you all soon or in the cup.

Take care all
Ronso

Good luck everyone, hopefully the injuries will not be affecting the key players.
For me this season is even more challenging than two seasons ago : /
