You did better than the last quality team to try the road CT versus me: (17917542). And he hasn't seemed to do all that poorly since

Agreed. It was a good effort just to recognize only 2 games into the season that the best hope of stopping this train was probably to steal a game with an early CT and hold on to the home court until the playoffs. He has too much depth to worry about injuries, trainees that are only getting better, and a point differential that will probably be insurmountable.

Anything can happen of course, we're only 3 game into this thing, but it's hard to see any cracks in the armor. I guess at least our worst case scenario is: he's probably only going to be around for one season :)

Game 3 recaps

Ok guys closer games for the most part tonight. Let's get to the recaps

Phakeouts at Prov City

The Phakeouts came into the game with a mindset to keep things sloooww but Prov City thought otherwise continuosly pushing the ball up the court. The slow pace and lack of team enthusiasm didn't seem to bother Gurklis as he drained 36 for the Phakeouts. Even the best of nights for a player can seem sour when the other team puts 6 in double digits. Prov City 106 Phakeouts 80

Bobcats at Soulja Boy

The Bobcats put 5 players in double digits but a short bench may have cost them the game in the long run. The Soulja Boy's continuoulsy rotated guys in and out to tire out the short Bobcats lineup and eventually wore them down. Peszeni for the Bobcats was an absolute beast tonight and had 27 points and 24 rebounds. Despite Peszeni's game the Bobcats D just wasn't enough allowing Soulja Boy's to shoot 40% from the field. Boys 99 Bobcats 88

Blasters at Allstars

The story of the night for this game was shooting. Both teams came out firing putting up 58 3 pt shots between the teams. On the other hand both teams spent a ton of time at the free throw line shooting as well. Forty total team fouls had both teams ticked at the refs and some coaches looking to spend some "yell" money at the press conference. Had the Allstart shot better from the charity stripe the game probably would have been out of reach earlier. Allstars 89 Blasters 83

NP at Challengers

This was a tale of two halfs. NP came out firing in the first half going in with a lead. Second half they came out flat and Challengers took advantage. Girard for NP dropped 29 on the Challengers despite their 1-3-1 defense. The NP's had no answer for Marangon on the outside and big man Skalec on the inside (both had 25). Skalec's name has been mentioned before in reports and he is starting to get a rep for being a player the other coach hates to prepare for. Challengers 93 NP 86

VD's at Phantoms

VD's came at the Phantoms with everything they had tonight. Unfortunatley for them it was not enough to overcome the Phantoms defense. The Phantoms also put two of their players in double double land with points and rebounds. The Phantoms big men put a hurtin on VD's boys and the extra rebounds proved to be too much to overcome. Phantoms 92 VD's 76

Champaign at Flames

Champaign got back to its winning ways by dominating the Flames for the first three quarters. Kev Brightbill for Champaign absolutely went off tonight draining 47 points. There were some other great performances but with Brightbill hitting 47 why talk about anything else. Champaign 108 Flames 65

Dutchmen at Terrors

With both coaches giving the thumbs up to the "bombs away" game the Dutchmen and Terrors launched 58 three pointers. The Dutchmen had a total team effort putting 7 guys in double digit scoring which nullified another good game by Hengyi. More rebounds, more assists and better shooting put the Dutchmen up at the end. Dutchmen 117 Terrors 86

Tachenko at Crazy's

Crazy's came out hot and put Tachenko on the hot seat in the first half. Up by nearly 30 at one point Tachenko looked like they might get blown out but big men Mayagoita and Calderia were not going to let that happen. The second half was a game of catch up for Tachenko and they did great but not good enough. With Barry's 31 points for Cleveland and the big man Marmolejo trying to guard Mayagoita the Crazy's survived a great second half by Tachenko. Crazys 110 Tachenko 95

Game 3 MVP

Brightbill 47 points
Peszeni 27 points 28 rebounds

Game 4 recaps

Crazy''s at Dutchmen

Turnovers are what you don't want and defense is what you need. Cleveland didn't have success with either and it showed. Big man Marmolejo was in foul trouble from the get go and the Crazy's frontline collapsed in the first half. Lousy defense against a stellar guard tandem proved to be costly as Romary and Hutson combined for 62. Bottom line is The Dutchmen were the superior team at their place and the Crazy's couldn't hack it tonight. Dutchmen 98 Crazy's 88

Flames at VD's

Nothing to report here Flames have packed it in forthe season. VD's 99 Flames 37

Phantoms at Tachenko

Phantoms keep on rolling! It is not often that you see Tachenko getting rolled on the boards but with Mayagoita on the bench it is no wonder. Big man Martinez put in 30 for Tachenko but it is not enough as Phantoms put 5 in double digits.
Phantoms 101 Tachenko 62

Terrors at Champaign

Terrors pounded it down low while Champaign shot away. The Terrors contained the dangerous Brightbill and Champaign took care of Hengyi but both teams found other scorers each having 5 in double digits. This one literally came down to the fourth quarter and the Terrors were just better when it counted. Terrors 96 Champaign 88

Challengers at Blasters

Well one team played slooow and low the other pushed to score as much as possible. The Challengers had two teammates in double digit points and rebounds. Normally...........that is a good thing...........just one problem? Who didn't score for the Blasters? Who? Well let me tell you....Blakely and Johansens............Hey I don't know who they are either but you asked. Bottom line too many people scoring for Blasters and not enough for the Challengers. Blasters 93 Challengers 66

Allstars at Cats

What the Peszeni is going on here? Oh just 29 points and 24 rebounds. This would have been a more phenomenal performance had his team not had 24 total turnovers. In the end they could not overcome the turnovers and lost it in the 4th quarter. Allstars 81 Bobcats 73

Crank dat at Phakeouts

Crank dat dey did. 5 guys in double digits was more then enough to overcome Gurklis and his 30. The Soulja Boys came out and ran the Phakeouts out of the gym. With 35 turnovers combined I don't think either coach was pleased and they are sure to have a long locker room talk. Gurklis and boys gurgled at the end. Crank dat 96 Phakeouts 71

Prov City at NP

Well over 200 shots taken in this game folks and that always means................big time scorers. This game did not disappoint. Faeber with 30 and Carmona with 26 was more then enough to overcome Gallano's 40 for NP. As a side note 6 other players were in double digit scoring. A huge fourth quarter by Prov City proved to be too much for the NP as they were outscored by a total of..........exactly what they lost by. Prov City 119 NP 105

Game 4 MVP

Peszeni 29 points 24 rebounds
Romary and Hutsdon 31 each
Martinez 30 and 16

this week you can decide these all rocked this week
