Pretty good game everything considered, we knew we were going into it as underdogs.

GDP should have been a wash or slightly in your favour (those who believe Pace and Offense type GDP have different effects also believe that Pace has a lower effect).

In the end we were also a little unlucky as the other group has 2 teams (Holland and Austria) which are significantly worse than Turkey and Belarus

This is true. Certainly I don't think Woody should kick himself over the gdp.

I don't know who watched, I had half an eye on it...The game was within 2 points at some point in the 4th quarter. In a game that close you can't really complain about anything. Close one, just needed one guard type who could score!

Me and Statsman were in chat, with a lot of very quiet Frenchmen. We both had a feeling that the game engine was toying with us. I was certain of it because of the game I keep going on about where we did the same thing against Italy. Got to within two and ended up losing by 12.

And yes, the shooting guards should really have been named "missing" guards.

Yeah I meant that with some luck, turning around 4 points in that game and we'd be in the semifinals ahead of the largest BB nation.

I think they're good for one more season, 35 is when the skills start to properly drop off with a career extension trainer - but then again, Innes has so many of them anyway... big mac at 34 should be fine unless he double drops on rebounding, and even then... and I suspect Osman will lose one level of OD and possibly one each of handling/driving next season and that's all. Anyway, I suspect the band can be kept together for at least one more season if we make the worlds.

Good effort Woody, can't win 'em all but beating Spain was a great result and if we do make the worlds, that would be absolutely outstanding.
