No, If you want to get ~36-12 minutes (starter-back up), you've got to use strictly follow...! ;)
I'm not a very amateur manager, just take a lo0k at my games and you'll find i usually use coach picks from the depth chart and depth chart until 4th and I have full control over my minutes and wins. better to say I had ;) I know how much might my players play while i'm setting the line up, oh sorry, I knew ;)

my problem is not how to work with coach authority, my problem is how they used to work and how they do. I know you are trying to correct the bugs ASAP, and I appreciate that. so, I sit back and enjoy strictly follow and wait to hear other options are correct.

If you want more control over your minutes, you've got to use strictly follow...

ok, just a question then:
In this game (52703966)

i did use strictly follow depth chart, but trenton funk just played 3 minutes. He was set as a reserve at sf and is a better player then the one which played as starter- so why did he just play 3 minutes? Does this mean, that i don´t even have control over my minutes when i use strictly follow depth chart ?

In games where you lose most of the time, your coach will try and keep the starters in the game as long as possible in order to catch up, believing you've set the best possible players as starters. This is nothing unusual.

Did you set Gocke as Back up but Funk & Oser as Reserve?

Sorry, i haven't made my statement properly:
lütfüh nezih was set as a starter, his backup was trenton funk and reserve was again lütfüh nezih. this setup was made for every position except my training position. As i said before, I really can't understand, why trennton funk, a player who is much better than lütfüh nezih, receives just 3minutes playing time, when i play strictly follow depth chart. i would expect at least 12 minutes, but if this is normal, i may have to adapt my tactic. So thanks marin.

So it leads to a new question: why Oser and Funk played only 3 minutes but Gocke played 12?
Gocke is far weaker than his Starter, Also Wippel had played well, no foul and no injury.
the answer is somewhere among stamina, tactic and bug!

would you tell us how much are wippel's and nezih's staminas?

good questions:

wippel has a 4 and nezih has a 7 in stamina- which could be an explanation....

so it can explain the difference of minutes, however I think 4 is not low enough for this difference and would rather see 1 or 2 for him.

My coach refused to follow my lineup. I had 9 players active, and all players had a spot on my depth chart. Yes, I used "Strictly Follow Depth Chart". And yes I used the "Load Former Match Tactics" option to verify my lineup after the game was over.

A player set at PF ended up playing 10 of 13 minutes at SG. While my coach brought back my starting center to play PF much of garbage time. As well as bringing back my Starting PF & starting SF parts of garbage time....

How does this even happen??? It was this game: (58718620)

at the end of the 3rd quarter / all 4th quarter it should have been:

PG
: A. Žibutis
SG: M. Toupeira
SF: T. Dozier
PF: J. Albano
C: T. Alas

Instead it was:

PG: A. Žibutis
SG: J. Albano
SF: T. Dozier
PF: A. Oliveros, P. Gutierrez, C. Ghiberti
C: T. Alas

All those players who came in at PF were starters with others behind them on the depth chart. And again, Albano was set to PF on the depth chart.

Same thing happened to be yesterday

I had 7 players playing
PG at starter backup reserve
SF at starter backup reserve
PF at starter backup reserve

SG had 1 backup and reserve (same guy)
C had 1 backup and reserve (same guy)

What happened is during garbage time, the backup SG got in for main SG, and then the main SG replaced my PG that was set for main backup and reserve. There was no foul trouble
