As i said earlier Bryce i've got no qualms with you winning the title. I'm just surprised with the way you have gone about it. I can't believe you think you need 1.6mil in wages to do. Either you are incredibly self aware about having a complete lack of tactical nous and are trying to overcome that or you just are plain silly and feel like burning a pile of cash that you don't need to. I can't see any other reason why you would drop the extra 465k a week on your most recent purchase.

I think your team was going to bolt it in anyhow.

But hey i'm in the playoffs in the ABBL for the first time so what would i know!

I think coachnoodles summed it up pretty well there.

The only positive thing about what you're doing is that you should burn through money more quickly this way and have less of a chance of doing it again. I don't even dislike it for my own teams chances (hell, i still think Bell Park might get over me - assuming he gets past mllama first) i just don't like the overkill and removing any sort of competition and hence, fun from the game.

I can't believe he crunch timed me tonight - there was no chance in hell i was beating him....happy day for the rest of you - you might get a game shape advantage!

Fun fact, me and Dire have played each other in the playoffs every season since season 6. I'm sure one of these seasons we will avoid each other...

Anyway, I would imagine we will be seeing a WA v BLS final, barring something remarkable happening

Whats the motivation to win the ABBL apart from the prestige?

Is there any prize money for winning the title like there is in the lower grades?

What about entrance to B3 or Buzzerbeaters best?

Does winning the ABBL get you into those games and if so is that worth anything?

I do believe there is credence in the suggestion put forward where by the salaries on the best most expensive "tall" players would be reduced or capped so that they would be more expensive to buy, thus stopping coaches like Bryce Gibbs and myself buying up on cheap high salaried players just before the commencement of finals series.

Oh, yeah that is the other bonus besides just the glory of winning. The ABBL champ and Cup champ get in to the B3 tournament. You do get a small bonus for winning B3 games but it's not much.

It's bugger all in the new system. You get a guaranteed 6 games or something like that but each game is only about 30k prize money .....and that's only if you win.
