Maybe my question is not perfectly on topic, but I didn't find any right thread. I train PG on one position, my training route is like OD, PASSING AND DRIVING. But driving is 2 position training, so maybe someone have any ideas how i could change my training route ?

In theory, you could replace the driving training with handling training, which trains driving a fair amount as a secondary. The more popular option and almost certainly the better one is go ahead and train the 1v1 - some training types are not available in one position form, such as rebounding and jump shot as well as driving.

1 on 1 also trains jump shot. In addition to that, you can train more players than with one position training.

Well, yeah, but I have 3 young players, they all get minutes in PG position, other small men are too old to be trained, so its sad for me to train two position training, when all players I need to be trained get minutes in one position.

hrudey, does handling give some sub skill on JS ? Maybe a little ?

HA trains only DR and OD as secondaries.

1 on 1 is almost as effective as one-position HA training with JS added as a bonus. If you will create true PGs without any shooting abilities, this will hurt your team.

1 on 1 training is great also because you can use it when on of your trainees doesn't get full 48 minutes. With two trainees, getting them 48 minutes on PG isn't an issue, but with three trainees anything can happen. From injuries until end of the game to fouling out.

To prevent this, every game try to put one of your trainees, who doesn't play at PG spot in a certain game, on SG as a backup. This way he will log 12-16 minutes as a SG, so if he will lose some minutes on PG spot due to injuries/fouling out, he will recuperate them at SG spot when you change your training from one-position to 1 on 1.

It works the same for big ones (ID or IS - change to RB).

what? can you prove it? i mean 1 on 1 is "almost" effective as HA training? why? show the numbers. do you consider JS as a bonus, while you don't get the OD sub? have you really considered everything through, or are you just used to not use HA training? :)

does HA one position training exists because BB's knows very good it's worthless?

I don't need to prove it. BB training crowd source project proved it. HA and DR train a bit slower with 1 on 1 than Ball handling training, but not by much (let's say 15% slower), while JS trains faster with 1 on 1 than OD with Ball handling.

Add to that you can train 6 player with 1 on 1 VS 3 players with BH...
