Time outs often do end in a basket, in my case i always get a three point in my face if this happens.

It also allows the opponent, or yourself to change the line up, defensive tactics (my coach isnt doing that but hey)
It would be nice if my coach could make up my wrong dessisions but is isnt doing that.
While in real life my coach would prevent a mismatch my coach is looking at it and laughs his brains out....

So how smart is the AI?? guess as smart as the guy in front of the screen......

But: In real basketball you will never see a timeout 5 seconds into a quarter!

How would anyone call a timeout seconds after starting a quarter? What the timeout should fix (tactics, low stamina...) should aready have been adjusted in the (halftime)break. Calling a timeout less than ten seconds into the third quarter is simply a bug and nothing else (especially if you see it in every second game).

i have seen it sometime, but mostly it wait at least to attack to call a "WHAT I HAVE SAID TO YOU TIMEOUT"

Depending on the Timeout rules it could also be a players timeout, to rescue the possesion after flying to the floor - but for this the to are to rare in this game.

i dont know in this game

in the real game it would be extra time to set the team and anoy the opponent.
A certain mr Boot (famous dutch coach) once made 3 time outs in minute 37 and 38 of the game
Just to anger the other side and just because he could

Up 10 points with under 6 minutes to go and my SG fouls out. His back up got injured earlier in the game. A lucky fan is in for me. The lucky fan goes 0-8 from the free throw line in the final 5:55 of regulation and my opponent hits a 3 to tie with 0:00 on the clock to take it to overtime, where he wins. None of the lucky fans FT attempts came off his own rebounds so there is no reason for him to be touching the ball and taking free throws in such delicate situations. Annoying AI fail but it's okay.

good defense brings the ball to the player who you want ;) And sometimes backups are fine.

You were on the road and the lucky fan was a fan of the other team. The fan missed on purpose. ;)
But you just unfortunate to have both of your SGs out.

Check the Suggestions they are important

I wish I played against your lucky fan. I've had games against lucky fans with an uncanny ability to shoot from anywhere on the court, which naturally just fuels my disdain for lucky fans even existing in the first place.
